AKP is over. Everyone knows it. Young people hate AKP to the bone. I expect AKP votes to fall even more in the following years. AKP will try to remedy this before the elections. Although the economic situation doesn't allow such moves, I expect Erdogan to spend every last lira he has at his disposal. As a last-ditch effort, I expect AKP to rebrand itself as a central party shying away from its Islamic roots. Selling religion to the voter doesn't bring votes anymore. AKP will do everything to strike a deal with Assad to send some of the Syrians back to Syria before the elections. Erdogan himself personally brought the matter to Putin several times. Russians are putting pressure on Assad but we will see. The new president of CHP says he won't run for the presidency instead he will do polls and whoever comes on top will be the candidate of CHP in the upcoming elections. This is a serious problem for Erdogan.

It will be kinda fun seeing the CHP back in office and repeating the cycle all over again

As much as I hate the CHP and think they will screw Turkey even more, But the AKP deserved it tbh; Erdogan's economic program from 2021 will be his downfall. He shouldnt have fired Agbal in the first place

Bro we are at rock bottom. It doesn’t matter which party comes to power, can’t screw up more than AKP. They literally milked every penny they can into their pockets. The country needs change regardless of which party.

I’ll give you a quick example of the mentality they have. Mind you this guys is the head of the largest union in Türkiye.

TÜRK-İŞ President Ergün Atalay:

"Despite all these hardships, we are happier than the rich.

"They feed their cats in a week what we get in a month."

First of all, no you arent!
You think you are at the rock bottom? Bro, just look at nations like Egypt and you will understand what rock-bottom means. Egypt and Turkey's economic conditions are too similar in many aspects with one of the major difference being that Egypt took debt while on the verge of bankruptcy while Turkey put Simsek in power to try and remedy what can be saved. I can bring many more nations as an example but lets not delve too deep into the issue

Moreover, who reads Etkili Haber at this day and age mate? We all know it is a die-hard CHP propaganda website just like with AKP's Yenisafak and other platforms

Stop reading those cancerous sites regardless of what your political affiliation is

And yes, I do believe that the CHP is incapable of saving the economy. I still remember when Ozel promised to create a ministry to protect LGBTQ rights..... like we are in an economic catastrophe and we are printing money like crazy so we must stop it, reduce costs, and stop those diyanet thieves but lets create another ministry and pour billions out of nowhere into it..... but surely, the ppl must believe we can fix the economy, loool😂

There are many instances like this but this is just one example..... To me, the current CHP is no different than the AKP but with CHP, there will be no brakes for the ppl to use against them. I already saw what happened with USA's democrats, Germany's Olaf Sholz, and France's Macron to know enough on what the CHP will do

First of all we are! But all come back to that. Are you denying that Ergun Atalay made comment and accusing etkili haber of intentionally making false news?

on the subject of hitting rock bottom.. why are you comparing Turkiye with such countries? Turkiye claims to be a semi advanced developed and powerful nation right. Compare us against the likes of top 15 or top 20 nations in the world and tell me Türkiye is not rock bottom. typical AKP mentality when making excuses. You make claims foolishly.
Also i never mentioned a party to run the country. All i said was anyone but AKP. Stop making excuses for a party and start listening to the people that are living on the ground

Just because Etkili haber made a few true posts doesnt mean that it is a decent/trustworthy site. Its not like all the news in Yenisafak is false yet it is regarded as an untrustworthy site due to the posion mixed within the honey (if you get what I mean).

And I do suggest that you research for the meaning of rock-bottom in the dictionary friend. When you reached the Rock-bottom, then it doesnt differentiate whether you are a semi-advanced, developed, or underdeveloped nation since all those fancy words and labels are worth less than toilet paper when you reach the rock-bottom and that is why I said that Turkey hasnt reached the rock-bottom yet. If you meant another thing than rock-bottom, then the issue is with your selection of words

Finally, who do you think will rule Turkey post-AKP? Will it be the DEM party? Hell No! Will it be Zafer or iYi? Again, Hell NO! will it be CHP? Most likely yes and that is why I mentioned them in my post even though the same answer will be given if it were any other party that was mentioned; if that would soothe your heart😉

In other words, it isnt a typical AKP mentality, but a rationale decision made after calculating all the current available data about the political environment in Turkey. That is why you ppl of the opposition always lose, because your counter-argument of "typical AKP mentality" is what drives you back to the stone age. If the opposition had even an ounce of brain power and have chosen a more popular candidate (which was available) rather than forming a shitty coalition, then maybe you ppl would have been in power since last year

You ppl still havent realised that you have lost to a party that screwed the economy and went through a serious earthquake that rocked the nation..... and all what you have to say is "typical AKP mentality"

Again, that is why you people always fqing lose

The decline in AKP's popularity could be a silver lining, as it might compel them to bolster state institutions for the post-AKP era. This could significantly reduce the risk of institutional exploitation, fostering a sense of optimism about the future of Turkish politics.

For example, a new constitution they are trying to create may help Turkey greatly, especially if they manage to create a more balanced presidency. Turkey needs to keep a strong presidential system but make sure that it has more checks and balances. The recent Court ruling limiting Erdogan's power over the Central Bank this year is a good sign.

Forget Egypt... just compare Turkey to Congo and you can happily continue living in the dream world that everything is absolutely fine, things are not as bad so no need to change anything.

ps If CHP comes to power and does a shitty job then they will lose the elections and someone else will come to their place. Politicians are there to serve the people and when they shit their pants you must change them... They are not some holly cows that are invincible or something, no matter how much some people want to be seen as living Gods.

Again, I commented on his term "rock-bottom" and his statement of "Turkey couldnt get any worse"
Pls read my post well and the next one as well. I never said that the economic situation was good

President Erdogan, regarding the lieutenants who said the words 'We are Mustafa Kemal's Soldiers' after their graduation ceremony:

Who are you drawing these swords against? The few ignorant ones there will be purged.

They are drawing their swords against the enemies of the Republic!

You can even get 100 more tarikats on your side, you can even ask Allah for 10 more lifetimes and it still won't be enough to delete his legacy.

After 22 years as the leader and almost 50 years in politics, all he still has is his very on the line rule that he needs external support from ideological adversaries to keep it going. I'd think he'd use this next 5 years to solidify his legacy and be remembered as a leader that in the end brought the country together but nope, his will be one of false steps and mistakes. These kids he accused today of being traitors and possible coupists will still be in the army 30 years later, fighting against the groups he himself put in the army, not learning any lessons from the gulenists. He however will never be as influential in Turkish politics 30 years later like Atatürk will continue to be.

Sad man.

They are drawing the swords against the enemies of the Turkish Republic and only those enemies should feel adressed.

But I thought, even though all other state institutions were restructured ideologically and filled with partisan loyalists, somehow the same group that transformed those institutions left the state's security organizations untouched, preserving them as the Weberian ideal of the state. Wow, I'm shocked. I never thought this could happen.

AKP+MHP+YRP is 43,9. When Özgür Özel declares himself as the candidate küskün AKP voters would realigning with the party, Reis would open the valves for cheap credit before the election. He would get 48% on the first round, 51% on the second round. Why do you think he put Mehmet Şimşek in charge of economy and didn't do populist economic spending before the 2024 elections? So they are filling the coffers for the 2028 election.

Meanwhile, Erdoğan said "Hamas is not only defending Gaza, but also Türkiye".

We have a leader who is threatening our own soldiers, but also claims that a terror group is protecting our nation. I don't know what to say anymore.

As I said before, the problem with these third rate sites is that they only take a single sentence from the whole speech and twist it to suit their demands/agenda. That is why most opposition and hardcore AKP sites are normally meant to be ignored

His full statement was: "Israel has land claims along several nations, one of which is Turkey! The moment they finish with Palestine, they will turn towards Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and then Turkey. Therefore, with Hamas's existence, they are literally protecting all the other nation" (This isnt the exact wording but the essence of it)

Saddam said the same words, Qhaddafi said the same words, and even Saddat said the same words before. Obviously, all of them were murdered in the end. The fact that Erdogan said these words prove that even he knows just how much of a danger Israel really is.

Note: have been saying the same words in the Turkic organisation threads about 6 days ago

Israel doesnt even have the population to go on any expansion adventures beyond the land they hold now. Not that they even have to, they are surrounded by instable and weak neighbours. Hamas cant even protect their own people, they only persits thanks to their tunnel network, and thats really all they do. Trying their best to persist, whilst israel massacres and drives away the civilian population. So his words are nothing more than cheap islamist fearmongering meant for the ears of gullible people that like to blame israel for everything. Last time I checked it wasnt israel that ran the Turkish economy to the ground and its not israel that felt attacked by the words of Turkish Lieutenants. And those who feel attacked by soldiers expressing their loyalty to their own nation are the real threat, not israel.

Israel is a deeply troubled state, not because they have a world-ruling secret Jewish cabal behind them, because their demographics are going to explode some day and they have nukes. Let me repeat again; They have NUKES. This is a serious issue. We don't need to inject conspiracy theories into the discussion.
  • Their ultra conservative population is growing, which means more extreme jingoism
  • Muslim population is growing, also more instability
  • Moderate and liberal Jewish population is plummeting, which means economic downturn because they actually produce high-value stuff
Jews will not conquer Gaziantep. The worst case scenario would be an attempt to mount an air campaign to support kurdish seperatism. Even that is still way outside the bounds of what is possible, for now.

I wish our leaders refrained from polluting the discussion with these wild conspiracy theories, and focused on the real issue.
