I can remember this video, we are 2 years further i can not believe it...😦

I don't mean to offend you but I would like to say this which is followed by all proactive, pioneers, leaders (not boss), ppl which would like to spend their knowledge, skills, know how for own country - " If you have you Motivation to use it to invent, build, create etc. by following the path of studying it will Drive you to successful end ".

It has other side of coin too (i mean other side ppl) - "If you are NOT motivated then Doubts are Driving you that kind of person looking most of time what others try to do/achieve this person follow the path of Fear, Jealous, Hate, Anger and always looking a chance to through dirty mud/laugh on ppl which are working hard to build a future/products etc."

I am trying to say that in Turkiye at current/present we have our elder age ppl ( science, managers, leader, professors etc. ) which spend their live to study and work to build that knowledge, skills, in high tech for better Turkiye. Now with infrastructures which were build and in place those ppl are in place to Support/Help/Guide and Teach the younger motivated ppl that looking to spend let say next 10 years or more of their live to help Turkiye/Vatan to achieve it's Goals.

It is obvious that there are risks, but it is seems that younger ppl aware of that and they are motivated enough to help own vatan and show that they can do it.

Here is the link of BMC from 2 years ago.
Person there is trying to say it - We Can because of that we have all necessary things in place.
But as I said there is always ppl which don't want to believed that

So I am waiting Altay tank Engine in next couple of mouths to be shown. So I will use you words "can remember this video, we are 2 years further i can not believe it"

So now you dare to compare TEI with their history of decades on various engine types, to BMC who has just founded engine department (BMC Power) 2~3 years ago?

You are such a killjoy. You are the kind of people he's talking about, a naysayer.

It's good to have people like him, otherwise we would be no different to a bunch of football fanatics supporting their favourite club. It brings perspective and I hope that he keeps doing it.

I wouldn't base it on the length of time a company has been operating, but rather skillset of the engineers within those companies. There are some people in BMC Power that have shifted over from Europe (some non-Turks) that have decades of knowledge, combined they certainly have the skillset to develop engines. BMC Power, TEI and Tumosan are going to be disruptive companies to foreign pressure.

What's your opinion about Tümosan? I feel like the company's achievements are a little bit exaggerated.

they were first to produce 300 and 500hp engines which FNSS use in its vehicles today.. only thing i dint like about them is they should focus on their engine development, not to develop a armored ground vehicles which there are several experienced companies already.. its good to have 2 companies as there would be a competition in development and price..

I wouldn't argue on this but you also know better than me engine business is more of experience than skills that is why there are some foreign companies who lacks skills but still can lease out engines.
Doosan had plenty of experience on engines, incomparable to BMC in terms of facilities, skills and experience. That was the reason it didn't take them long to design and manufacture the engine.
And I don't mind ToT or licensed production of the engine, it is a success to achieve a ToT. What i mind is, whether BMC will establish a fully fledged engine manufacture line with all needed test&QC, or will it turn out to be like the Tank factory.
If Skills mattered BMC wouldn't need Tank Palet, they have also recruited skillful employees from Otokar and several other companies for the Tank business.
And that is exactly what he does, praising one institution and downplaying others. A true naysayer which Turkey unfortunately has too much of. Luckily this is changing for the better.
Maybe tag the person while talking about someone else? Manners?
I told it before, i don't advertise, glorify or promote any company,i wouldn't glorify or appreciate one without any solid reasons to do so.
The institutions and companies i praise ,deserve and proves it by the outputs they show and hardwork they put on the field.
I would praise BMC only for armored car ,APC,Truck business, not for the Tank or the Heavy engine business at least not yet.

What's your opinion about Tümosan? I feel like the company's achievements are a little bit exaggerated.
They don't have the umbrella (financial+political) BMC has got.
But i personally would prefer BMC to work on the tank engine, since it is being developed by ToT and they can fully adapt the technique and production echole of the company they are receiving ToT from(Doosan-MTU). This is valid only if they truly invest on this and not just display the engine for SSB funds.

Any possibilities of integrating UTKU on Leopards&Firtina ? Does it fit in terms of dimension and power?

Tümosan has been producing tractors and tractors engine for a long time. The company dates back to 1960's (I do not know if they produced everything since back then). I've shared a video about their production facility.

It's one of the companies in Turkey that truly deserves to be respected for their contribution and their growth.

I think it is great if they can produce an engine that can be used in defense sector.

Tübitak, GTÜ and TEİ will provide support to 6 doctoral students for the research of CMC-based composites, which are used in turbine engines and are the top class of material technology.

Tübitak MAM developed a thermal barrier coating for the Turbine blade with Single Crystal Cooling Channel, which is the Most Critical Part of Gökbey Turboshaft Engine.

CMCs are the next/current generation of materials. So the materials we used for ts1400 engine were previous generation materials(80s/90s materials like second generation single crystal superalloys). This will bring Turkish engines to same tech level as GE and RR. And This tech also lowers/elleminates our raw material related risk about Foreign supplier. Also Afaik This program started in November of Last year. So Some engineers might already be hired as well.

All in all Great News
