Question: Isn't TEI one of the three companies already bidding for TFX MMU engine?

Mr Akşit: "TEI is involved into the national development of the TFX/MMU engine. It is a military turbofan engine. There are two fan stages in the front and compressor stages behind it."

Question: You said there are compressor stage behind the fans in TFX national engine

Mr Akşit: "Yes there is a compressor but the compressor doesn't digest all the air provided by the fans. In this configuration, It uses half of it.

Mr Akşit: "Tubitak is also involved as well as our subsidiary companies (Gür Metal and Varzene). We have a large material engineering team in RD Department. Under these conditions, we have developed both SCB materials and alloys such as superalloys "Inconel 718, 718+, 738" in Turkiye together with Tubitak MAM material institute team and subsidiaries. There are more special materials with hiher quality and higher resilience such as those in discs and we are currently working on them"

We now have both national single-crystal blade production technology and national production of materials that are used for the single-crystal blade. This means complete supply chain control over the most critical component of turbine engines. TEI TF-6000 will be a state-of-the-art engine that is only second to the next-generation variable bypass engines (currently there is no variable bypass engine project in this class).

Is there any expected delivery date for TF-6000? Any public schedule?
Mr. Akşit stated that they want to make a fully working engine with completed tests and ready to be used by aircraft by 2026.

So the pretty complete engine (with all tests done etc.) is aimed for 2026

I guess it totally depends on how well the development process goes. If they pass the developments stages smoothly without setbacks then I believe it can be ready for deployment earlier than planned.

I wish they asked the turbine inlet temperature of TF6000. Maybe a question about cooling techniques or SCB thermal barrier coatings would be nice, too.
Maybe they can ask during this fair. As i understand ,all information is given during latest teknofest.
