Literally every institution, every ministry is incredibly corrupt and FETÖ is still alive in the government. Hell, even PKK has its hands in the government now.

The defence industry (and military) is the only thing that's going good. But it's not immune to the disease that's swept through everything else.

So I can totally understand why a lot of people are concerned.

There was only the MOD himself in the MSB Arge presentations as a politician and himself is the previous Chief of Staff an old school officer from the olden times. And all he does as a political message is to place flashy Atatürk signatures on their display objects which is not very welcome indeed. So there is nothing good for an election campaign in this show.

WTF is a Bayraktar TBT-AI?
Or is it a typo that's supposed to be the TB-2 AI?

In an competently lead country this shitshow would lead to the whole MSB Arge being sacked and blacklisted in the industry. Damaged the reputation and credibility of the Turkish defense industry for what? We all know what, election propaganda.

Fucking clowns. Trying to turn the country into Iran V2.

man if they really did go down the iran route, what a disaster. They have basically taken a shit on the entire reputation of the Turkish defence industry. And if it works as election properganda that is an ominous sign. It means the the common Turks are becoming as dumb as the common Iranians under their Islamic regime.

This piece of shit was being sold to the iranian people by the islamic republic as a 5th gen fighter in 2013. Fast forward to 2026 and the Iranians are being directly bombed by isreal and the usa, while they have zero airforce.

I would hate to be 10 years from now and such a piece of shit will be defended by the Turkish people themselves no different to how the Iranians today still defend this fighter jet, which now they claim wasn't really meant to be a fighter jet its actually an unmanned UAV. As the scams get exposed the excuses keep shifting, already sounds like that going to take place with this 6k missile.

Minister Güler: “We have produced six GÜÇHAN turbofan engines.”

We have taken our work to a new level with the technology hub we established two years ago within the Ministry of National Defence’s R&D Centre.

Our YILDIRIMHAN Long-Range Missile represents a significant technological milestone as Turkey’s first liquid-fuelled missile system capable of hypersonic flight and boasting the longest range.

Having successfully completed laboratory testing, we will commence field or ground testing of the system in the coming period.

Another product we have developed in this context is the GÜÇHAN Turbofan Jet Engine.

It is a national jet engine developed entirely by the Ministry of National Defence’s R&D Centre.

To date, we have produced a total of six of these engines, all of which feature critical components manufactured using domestic capabilities.

We plan to carry out the testing and calibration processes for these engines from November 2026 onwards. Our primary objective here is to reduce reliance on foreign technologies, enhance our own engineering capabilities, and lead the way for defence industry firms by establishing a sustainable national infrastructure.

We know that our citizens, our country, and the Turkish Armed Forces need such a product. God willing, we will continue to diversify our product range in the coming period. Thank you.”

MSB Arge is swinging the reputation of the Turkish defence industry between shame and fame, wonder where it lands at the end

Unrelated but it is little sad that there were deals for all the UAV projects but Anka-3. It was even ahead of Kızılelma with IWB tests, however, it seems that it will enter inventory no earlier than late 2027

This may only mean they have made 6 builds. Remember Mr. Mahmut Akşit mentioned that they probably need to make 15 builds before they are done with developing the TF35k engine. So they probably got to like 40% of the way to a usable product. Lame but could be considered a candidate if TEI's efforts were not in place.
