It has been discussed before.

ERALP/ERIS or CAFRAD's UMR all will have 450km+ detection range against 1m² RCS target according to @Anmdt.

Which means, it will have detection range of roughly 110km+ against LO 0.005m² RCS targets.

The KARAKURT Electro-Optical Sensor System, thanks to its automatic motion detection and target tracking features, offers the ability to detect threats from long distances, even under harsh weather conditions, both day and night.

Equipped with a laser target designator and a high-resolution thermal camera, it provides top-level solutions for electro-optical system needs in land platforms used in Border Surveillance and Coastal Surveillance.

ERALP is an S band radar. It has a 450km+ detection range against a 1m² RCS target in S-band and if we do a rough calculation it will have a 110km+ (119.68km) range against a target with a 0.005m² RCS target. What is the RCS of the F-35 in the S-band? This is the 1 million dollar question.

F-35 should still be a stealth aircraft in the S-band but not as stealth as the X band.

Afaik, the lower the band gets the more exposed aircraft becomes as the radar waves gets longer, not the other way around. And X band is higher than S band.

Also, as far as i read F-35's RAM coating is optimised against both S and X band.

Here is a simulation result-

Yes, that is what I meant. F-35 can't be as good in S-band because of how physics works, but it should still be a stealth aircraft. I wouldn't be surprised if ERALP picks an F-35 at 150km. And there is this thing with maintenance. F-35 needs heavy maintenance to be operated at the advertised stealthiness. Only a few countries will probably be able to keep them in shape.

My educated guess is that F-35s stealth coating lowers the RCS of F-35 -20 decibels ( multiply the RCS with 0.01m²) at the X band and -10 decibels ( multiply the RCS with 0.1m²) in the S-band which means F-35s RCS in the S-band is roughly 0.01m².

Yes, my guesstimate is also similar. Russian claim about 150km anti stealth range of S400 complex is not technically far fetched. But unlike Russians systems, ERIS/ERALP will be able to do it in practice.

I would have really liked it if Aselsan could have been able to develop something like Ground Fire 300 of new SAMP/T NG that can presumably guide interceptors up to 120km against 0.01m² targets.

Is there any info about SIPER's X band FCR's range?

Sure Having a S band long range detection and surveillance radar is a very very important addition to our capabilities However, S band is common and they are around for quite a while as well, just on their own there is no need to expect a miracle against low RCS aircrafts

Concerning our future, The network created by the combination and managment of our survilance and detection capabilities will be far greater than the simple sum of each single component.
