Tandem seat TF-X is also in development !

One use case is that second pilot to be used for command and control of drones. Second, electronic warfare control.

  • Air superiority supersonic stealth drones fly in swarms with air to air missiles like Gokdoğan and Gökhan inside their fuselage and powerful AESA radars and engage the targets in the most effective way thanks to their artificial intelligence.
  • Air to ground bomber stealth supersonic drones destroy SAM systems, air bases and naval targets with precision guided missiles/anti-ship missiles and bombs that they carry inside the body.
  • While 2x900hp Akinci based IHA-AEWC fleets provide information flow to TF-X and Peace Eagle command and control aircraft from safe ranges, IHA-SOJ and Air-SOJ will also perform powerful electronic jamming.
  • 5th generation TFX fleets command and control swarm supersonic drones through the second seat pilot without putting themselves in danger.
  • Şimsek-II, Jemsah I-II supersonic decoy and kamikaze drones take on kamikaze and decoy missions against dangerous air and strategic ground targets from hundreds of km away
  • Drones like Akinci, TB2 and TB3 will send the remaining targets to hell in softened enemy areas while coordinating the artillery
  • Slower, propeller-driven mid and long range Kargi family loitering kamikaze drones perform swarm attacks on enemy troops, vehicles, air defense systems and headquarters

This concept is going to hurt a lot. In this new generation war concept, surviving for a certain period of time will only be possible by having a very strong electronic warfare infrastructure.

From the info coming through we can say that before the end of this year, system functionality review (SFR) and system requirements review (SRR) will be completed. With that, PDR will come to an end. The program will be in the stage of initial roll-out next year in March with engines fitted and working.
After the aircraft rolls out of hangar under it’s own power in March 2023, critical design review (CDR) activities will be started in 2024, and the production of the first aircraft, called Block-0, will be completed in 2025 and the first flight will take place in 2026.
Thanks for the info, eagerly waiting for rollout

TAI/TUSAS acquired all the shares of TRMotor. Now TAI/TUSAS owns both TRMotor and TEI.
TAI/TUSAS partnering with TAEC(RR&Kale) means all of the companies can work together without issue.

It was already pointed out that TEI consists of partnership with GE, so we do not want TEI to take over any other defense industry in Turkey and thereby giving GE a keyhole from where they can conduct espionage. It's better that TEI stays as they are and conduct commercial and defense industry assignments within their scope/field. If US allows us to buy more F16, then TEI can build it and US/GE can cash in extra.

There won't be any PW contribution to TF-X national engine project. TRMotor, TAEC and TEI will be the main companies that will do the job. RR will provide technical support as the partner of KALE and GE will provide F-110 engines for prototypes. I doubt GE will be involved other than providing engines for the prototypes. GE will earn good money through the shares it holds since TEI is guaranteed to get a big workshare. Rights of the engine will belong to TAI/TUSAS(SSB owns %45.45 of TAI, TSKGV/Turkish Armed Forces Foundation owns %54.49) as TAI/TUSAS owns TRMotor now. So the developed engine will be the property of the Turkish state.

BTW we lost precious years because we want to include BMC (and Qatar as half of the BMC is owned by Qatar) in the deal and try to give IP rights of the engine to TRMotor(%55 shares were owned by BMC at that time).

Lucky for us that RR did a wonderful job of straightening the deal.

The RR job still seems like a wish to me. I hope I don't want to get my hopes up without seeing a definitive contract.

Küçükpazarlı Aerospace is working to establish the HURON KXG 45 for both Hurjet and TAI TF-X. Didn't know they were a part of this journey, but glad to have them on board.

According to TR FM, UK has lifted all export restrictions on defence industry Concerning Turkey.
This opens up RR deal and eases TFX bottleneck situations. If there were any!
