After Indonesia, two more Gulf countries are interested in KAAN

TUSAS (@TUSAS_TR) General Manager Mehmet Demiroglu (@dr_mdemiroglu):
"The President of Indonesia had expressed his wish to join KAAN during his visit to Turkey. Last month, we paid a visit to Indonesia with our president Prof. Haluk Görgün. Certain decisions were taken there, and as a result of those decisions, Indodefence was asked to prepare a draft agreement. We are now working on the details. Here, we have embarked on a journey to deliver 48 of our KAANs to Indonesia with our own engine.
This is a long journey, and we still have a long way to go, but we are very happy and very joyful. Because our own fifth generation platform will hopefully be delivered to the air forces of a friendly and allied country within the scope of this project. We will continue to work with our friends. Considering that there are 48 of them and 12 optional ones, the number can increase to 60. This is one of the biggest deals in the history of the Republic. Perhaps we can say that it is the biggest one so far. From this point of view, it is a great success for both our country and TAI.
We cannot name the country for now because it is early, but at least 2 of the countries from the Gulf region, which are also heard in the public, are interested in KAAN. Our work with one of them is very advanced. Hopefully, we are waiting to hear good news from them within this year, and we are also working on that, I can say that much. We are also working on a contract for the Turkish Air Force, hopefully at the next defense industry executive committee."
