Is this a teaser?

Are you ready to power up with TRMOTOR, the developer of Turkey’s first indigenous and national auxiliary power units? ✈

Probably katar and saudi
I think it may be a wildcard and be the UAE. I could be off base here but we’ll see.

They’ve been the closest to having the F-35 and are actively looking for something to eventually replace the F-16E.

Turkey gives industrial partnerships as well and the UAE has a burgeoning aerospace industry that wants to grow. With the money invested it could accelerate the development of key technologies especially engines which is of utmost importance.

Mirage replaced by Rafale
F-16E replaced by Kaan
unmanned UCAV for MUM-T

The UAE showed keen interest in the KF-21 Boramae.

Before I thought, why not sell KAAN to anybody who asks.
The last month or two, changed my mind.
If Turks sell KAAN to any Arab country, the enemies of Turkey would know everything about KAAN.
In any case, I don't think that they are serious

"Turkish Aerospace "very close" to announcing second international customer for KAAN after Indonesia - CEO at Paris Air Show. Says issues such as F-35 'kill switch' debate, availability, price, tech transfer, MRO, etc all play to KAAN's strengths"

I might be mistaken but this is a new model, no?
Seems they finally decided to get rid of the old one.

@TheInsider
Any hints here that you can provide?
I heard Saudis are one step ahead, and they want up to 100 Kaans, but those negotiations are like football transfers.

News started to circulate, i think the engine team reached a big milestone and possible customers are mostly convinced about the engine.

All Arab leaders and governments are easily bought. They are Jewish, British, and American agents and lackeys who have no sense of patriotism or national pride. We must not give away our national values, such as Kaan, to the Arabs.

Israel will never allow Middle Eastern countries other than itself to have F-35s. In this regard, it is quite possible that KAAN will see serious demand in the Gulf market. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, must be eagerly waiting to have KAANs because they will not be able to buy F-35s due to pressure from Israel.

The Saudis in particular must be very eager for KAAN.

Good thing the Turkish government doesn’t think emotionally like you.

Turkey can actually make a bloc dependent on it if it plays its cards right.

Emotional? Essentially, our government thinks emotionally. Countries such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia have openly supported Fetö and other religious organizations, attempting to destroy the Turkish Republic and its government. Yes, I am very emotional. Normally, we should destroy these countries.

Export version should be fine, I guess.

Do you not understand that geopolitics are extremely complicated? West Asia is even more complicated, and you must play your cards right in order to come on top.

Huge fault of the Iranians was making enemies and frenemies with everyone in the region, and leaving them isolated.

@Angry Turk !!! is completely right, and exporting will increase Turkish R&D and lower the unit cost of the KAAN allowing Turkey to buy more, and have cheaper maintenance. It doesn't have to be as good as the Turkish version, but it will still outclass any 4th or 4++ gen fighter.

This will depend on the next administration.

I'm sure UAE and Qatar could receive KAAN. But if CHP or their allies take the seat KSA would likely need to make some concessions and reassurances before a deal is made. Reason being that KSA played a big role in the rise of AKP and Islamist groups in Türkiye. This goes back decades and has set back the nation quite a bit. There would be some reluctance to arm them despite their new image.

Although there's some conflicting interests with UAE and alleged support for FETÖ, this is much more recent and less deep rooted.

I'd actually say that the rebrand of Saudi Arabia and UAEs good PR may actually result in close cooperation between them and a CHP-led Türkiye. But with KSA, this would take some time to rebuild trust. This would frighten both Iran and Israel, unless they're willing to cooperate, time will tell.

I think we could see KAAN sold to an assortment of middle eastern countries. The biggest hurdle would be Israeli opposition to this. They definitely wouldn't want any of their neighbors to have KAAN.
