Guys i know some users prefer pink lies over truth, but here is another reality check for you.

Pd170:

First flight on anka: 27.12.2018
30k feet altitude flight test on aksungur: 13.11.2023
18k feet altitude flight test on tb3: 21.11.2023

Is it civilian engine: no
Is it large scale turbine engine: no
Is it being used in a serial production as of today 7 years after its first ignition: NO

Make of that what you will.

Baykar’ın zirve diyebileceğimiz eseri malum KIZILELMA. Şimdi KIZILELMA’nın son testlerini yapıyorlar. Aşmaları gereken mesele kendi yerli motorunu üretmek. Bunu başardığı andan itibaren de zaten KIZILELMA’nın dünyaya karşı duruşu farklı olacaktır. Tabii burada Aselsan’ın üzerine de düşen bir yük var, kamera üretimi. Motor üretim süreci maalesef nereden bakarsanız bakın herhalde bir beş yılı alır. Bu süre zarfında biz motor ithal ederek yürümek durumundayız.
I would think that there maybe a different engine effort for Kızılelma than the TF6000. What is hapening with the Black Sea Shield now, I wonder.

In this statement of Erdoğan, he mentions Aselsan as the optics maker but never mentions TEI for engines and talks in a manner that suggest that Baykar alone is to make the engine.

18k feet test is of the platform, not the engine. PD-170 is powering TB3, not being tested on it.

IMO, a very very good question.
Assuming we need thrust to weight ratio of 0.55 to 0.7, we would be needing TF/TJ engines capable to deliver 300 to 400 kgs and 700 to 1000 kgs. What are the available options?

KTJ-3700 (or if they develop, TF of this size) could be able to power ~700 kg version. The motor life spans to 17 hours and i believe can be improved for long-run applications like a drone.

For the latter we definitely need a new TF but that shouldn't trouble TEI and as once promised to SSB, Kale R&D should be capable of developing an engine delivering up to 1000 kg thrust by 2025.

Apart from these, what are the available options in the market?

TB3's stall speed should be around 140kmh, depends on the loaded weight.
Approaching to the deck of TCG Anadolu with that speed, touching landing gears after roughly 30 meters, then TB3 will have 200 meters to stop. I assume 150meters will suffice and it won't be an issue.

"ANKA-III is an approximately 7-ton aircraft, but its 150-kilogram version has been flying for a while. In the meantime, we will have 2 more aircraft, approximately 700-800 kilograms and over 1 ton."
I don't think there will only be downscaled variants. With the dual TF-6000, or with again single engined if a mid-thrust class engine emerges later in this engine program, an aircraft with a much higher MTOW and possible operational range than the current ANKA-3 is definitely in the planning. If we can prove this type of stealth platform design and put it into active service, the appetite for acquiring platforms for many other specific mission types, from penetrator bomber to air-refueling drone tankers, will increase. Of course, the desire to acquire a platform alone is not the decisive criterion here; but the ANKA-3 provides a major technological breakthrough that will bring a completely new perspective to the Turkish aviation industry, and this accumulation itself will raise the bar.

Quite frankly in its current form seeing Anka III in air refueling role is quite optimistic since for instance just a drop tank of F 16 carries 300-600 gallons i.e 1000 to 2000 kg ... ANKA III is unmaned so it can only carry air refueling basket which requires an air refueling probe at reciving end...so far non of our aircrafts has air refueling probe.

Apparently, especially for eurofighters too, KC135 supports an attachment that switches the boom for a basket probe.
That's too much hassle and would mean a KC135 with the basket adapter cannot refuel F-16's or E7s in flight. Adapter works for singular missions but not at bulk.

Thing is, The underwing pods used for this role are made by Cobham. If we place this order, they would sell us a nice number of pods as well.
