IMPORTANT: French and British soldiers killed in Ukraine! “I asked for confirmation and they told me that it is accurate. So, the Russians carried out an attack on Odessa, which killed 18 members of the British Special Air Service and injured 25 more. And they tell me that French soldiers died, not mercenaries who are French, no, these are soldiers of the French army. They were killed in large numbers.” — Colonel of the Spanish Army Reserve Pedro Baños
If Pedro Baños is the source, then it's certainly not true.

Pedro Baños is a well known ultra-far-right pro-russian conspiracy-theorist. Many in Spain even consider he is a propagandist at the service of the Kremlin.

We still have to wait until 2025 for Ukraine to launch another major counteroffensive. Rainy season hits until October to November.

Yep! Russia has burned through thousands of pieces of armor it can't replace, tens of thousands of Russian lives, has raised bond rates to a level that will damage its economy for years and has been forced to stop exporting refined pretoleum products... To take less than 1% of Ukrainian territory thise year.

Their offensive this year has been another debacle.

You think the 2025 counteroffensive from Ukraine will be better than the one in 2023?

Not likely, unless something substantial changes in terms of Western aid and the quality of equipment the West is committed to sending. I suspect the war will largely remain a stalemate for the foreseeable future, with 1-2% of the territory traded back and forth and whichever side is on the offensive chewing through substantial amounts of irreplaceable armor.

Ukrainian F-16 fighters have received Terma PIDS+ missile attack early warning system.

"Ukraine may not talk about F-16's missions . Now this is very dangerous."

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this during a conversation with journalists, RBC-Ukraine reports. According to the Ukrainian leader, today he cannot disclose details regarding the missions. However, Ukrainians will see the results of the F-16.

“I think that you will see, perhaps not everything, but you will see the results. We will decide to reveal whether this was the result with the F-16 or not,” Zelensky said.

Yes, still better than convicts and rapists, like in the Russian army.
Those convicts and rapists are securing one position after another.

Maybe Ukraine is the classic case of Western priorities in the age of wokeness: Ideology over fine military crafts.

I don’t see the Russian fine military crafts in this war. After two years of fighting, they have barely advanced on their weaker neighbor, which was supposed to capitulate in a week.

I would say the US invasion of Iraq showed fine military craft, where they achieved air superiority immediately against one of the most heavily defended countries when it comes to air defense density,

The Russians are still fighting on an equal footing with Ukraine two years into the war, on their own border, while the West managed to keep them at bay only with equipment donations and training, without even needing to join the war directly.

Oh, and I forgot to add that NATO also got two new members since the start of the war, one of them neighboring Russia, without any loss. I say this shows fine diplomatic and military craft from the West, and pathetic planning from Russia.

It will take time for the Russian army to make up from the catastrophic performance which it started the war, but as time goes by, the Russian army professionalize, their C4ISR improved etc. As for Ukraine, their societal division deepens, their military professionalization plumets and their ability to gather things around diminished.

In just 2 years the Russian military are able to deep strike Ukrainian planes in their bases, even though the UkrAF has implemented ACE (Agile Combat Employment) tactics, while its UMPK bombs wreck havoc on Ukrainian lines, even though just 2 years ago, this kind of capability was basically non-existent

I would say the US invasion of Iraq showed fine military craft, where they achieved air superiority immediately against one of the most heavily defended countries when it comes to air defense density,

There's no denying that Desert Storm will go into the annals of military history in glory. But that thing is 30+ years ago. There's no guarantee that the Americans could somewhat repeat that kind of overwhelming success, especially in the age of great power competition.

The Russians are still fighting on an equal footing with Ukraine two years into the war, on their own border, while the West managed to keep them at bay only with equipment donations and training, without even needing to join the war directly.

Technically as long as Ukraine was able to field as many men as Russia + a lot of weapons, it is no surprise why Russia struggle in this war. Russia entered Ukraine with a combined total of 250K men, spread thin along a wide front stretching from Kyiv all the way to Crimea. The Ukrainians, early in the war mobilized as many as 700K- 1M men in arms.

Add the early Russian incompetence and walaaaaa.

Those 2 are already NATO lite since quite a while.

As for Ukraine, it is the most important Russian land, outside of Russia itself. So if NATO would try to portray this as a loss, it's of no use, because it's worth it to have those 2 enter NATO while liberating Ukraine.

I would consider it dumb, if Putin didn't go with military operation. Because the longer it takes, the more ready Ukraine is and the higher chance that they will integrate more into the West.
