House Foreign Affairs Chairman McCaul stated that Ukraine is about to get permission to strike back:
Some context. Four days ago it was confirmed that Iran provided Russia with ballistic missiles. Meanwhile McCaul reported that Blinken told him three days ago that Ukraine will receive permission to use ATACMS missiles on Russian bases. I think it is very likely this is the reason permission is finally being granted.

And in other news, Biden has sent Congress the long-awaited Ukraine strategy report, as mandated by the April Supplemental.

I don't speak Pharsi but if I did I might send the Iranian leader a message of thanks. A few Iranian ballistic missiles cannot damage Ukraine as much as the US has done by preventing weapons being used to strike inside Russia at the origin of attacks against Ukraine.

That is a good move in the right direction. The first targets should be missile, UAV, gliding bomb and artillery shell production facilities and any facility providing required materials to those facilities. Russian firepower superiority has to be reduced at all costs.

US announced $700m in aid:

The latest American aid package includes $325 million in energy support to help repair and restore Ukraine’s power generation facilities, provide emergency backup power for critical services and strengthen the physical security of energy infrastructure.

Some $290 million will fund food, water, shelter, health care and education programs for Ukrainians in need in the country and refugees outside the country.

The remaining $102 million will be used for mine-removal work.

Wont do shit
Western media already reported that all critical military infrastructure within Russia have been moved away from the range of Stormshadow missiles and Russia has reportedly finished upgrading their FABs to strike with a heavier tonnage and longer distances

This decision came too late for Ukraine

Finally, the war is in jeopardy with reports that Ukraine just doesnt have that many men to continue the war. Ever since the Kursk operation/desperation and I realised that Ukraine's govt knew it was fqed and will not win this war but will eventually lose the most richest area in Ukraine to Russia

All hail the clown, Zelensky

What happens next? An apology saying it was a mistake? I imagine it was.
I don't think it was a mistake. They showed their determination, but regardless of that, nothing will change. I don't even believe an apology will come, but we may see some diplomatic traffic in the next coming hours or days.

The west really likes to play with fire huh, escalation after escalation until the point where Russia will have no choice and we will start getting hit by nuclear weapons, damn id*ots.
The West was frightened when Russia invaded Ukraine and that fear indirectly allowed Putin to set the rules of engagement in his war of aggression. The legendary Red army was expected to overwhelm Ukraine in a matter of days or weeks. It transpired that the strength of the Red army, while legendary, was just that - legendary, not real.

The West later started breaking Putin's rules of engagement with no real reaction. Red line after red line has been crossed without Russia resorting to the nuclear option, having hinted it would.

No reason to toe Putin's line. Every country under attack has the right to strike the country attacking it. Putin may be able intimidate the US administration but that does not make him able to change the rules of war.
