8 cell Kuzgun-KY launcher.

This could be a version intended for larger (and with possible application on land) platforms in following times. Göksur also was rumored to have fixed foundation applications for certain platforms.

I don't see any reason not to stack another box on top and make it 16 cell launcher, 16+16 is a good capability for patrol boats, corvettes, OPVs and so on. Could be even interesting if SAGE applies cold launch to this one.

How durable/reliable would it be at different sea states ? I mean would the balance of the vessel be compromised or would it be more visible /less visible lurking around.

Would the cost of the vessel with armament be too high ?

me dreaming of anti-radiation seeker on the those kuzgun, this would be a nightmare for any navy
Maybe for the turbojet version? You keep 2 USVs in a ship, armed with TJ Kuzgun and you can send the USVs 200 kms from your ship, to fire at a ship 150kms from the USV.

If I ever see that happening, even as a training or to advertisement, that video is going into porn folder.

If any such USV is within target range of big enemy ships (even allies) I can assure that they'll shoot first and ask questions later. Remember Muavenet.

Marlin is around 15 meters unless I'm mistaken, that makes it 7 or 8 times smaller than an Istif class frigate, 10 times smaller than TF-2000. I'll admit that I'm not an expert in missile technology but I am willing to bet that trying to hit a target as small as Marlin before it gets into firing range with turbojet Kuzgun with 150+ km range would be harder than trying to hit a 10 times bigger ship.

-even with KUZGUN KY 40km + range enemy's engagement options are limited

-one major threat to our unmanned sea vehicles will naval helicopters and UAVs

-dream mod is on... easier said than done.... and complex but still hope to see an independent short range air defene capablitiy like with SUNGUR as an integral part of a USV swarm responsible from the the short range air defence of the swarm.

-I found KUZGUN KY important in self defence role of our naval assets against enemy USVs as well

Merlin is comparatively large. ULAQ is 11m in length.
Unless the target ship has reasonably high air assets with extremely good radar and a good sonar itself, these unmanned vessels will succeed in hitting, as they have better stealth than any ship.

We are developing ULAQ KAMA as an expendable Kamikaze sea drone, mainly because it is so small and stealthy. It is 6.37m in length and 1.2m in width. It has a top speed of 50knots. At sea state 4 it can cover 200nautical miles at a cruising speed of 20knots, carrying 200kg of explosives. Beauty of the KAMA is that it can attack in swarm mode too. Equipped with AI, ULAQ KAMA will be the ideal companion to AShMs. It will be able to loiter before attacking to choose the ideal target as well as convey important intelligence and coordinates to the anti ship missiles. If unused it has a return to home program too.

One of the most effective ULAQs is the one that will carry ORKA lightweight torpedoes and Cakir AShMs. Staying at almost stand off distances it can inflict considerable damage to any sea platform.

Putting Sungur on an USV shouldn't be hard, unless I'm mistaken we've already seen Yalman turret on an USV and Sungur can be launched from that turret with its double pods. What I would love to see is a new launcher for Sungur though, similar to this Kuzgun launcher with maybe even more missiles because it is a very light missile (as all MANPADS are) and you're only limited by the dimensions of the launcher, weight wouldn't be an issue.

I am still not completely convinced by the kamikaze USVs, despite their success against Russians but Ulaqs that are armed with Orka or Çakır is a completely different matter; those two will really change the power dynamics in the seas around us.

That's why I have been hoping that we would build a USV mothership for a while now. I think I already posted what I would love to see in the naval concepts thread, a 90 or 100 meter catamaran (as they are more stable and have more space inside that can be used to refuel and rearm the USVS) with 3 launch bay on each side that could launch and retrieve USVs and could also use some VTOL drones.

Yes for Sungur, see here:

Deringöz - Piranha (Navalized CATS+ or AF500) and Sungur on SANCAR.
