I would personally want the Tempest to reach a mature enough level first. Dunno if it's just me. It is a very ambitious project and I would not prefer TAI to get themselves tangled up with it. Maybe after the first flight of the demonstrator...Tempest confirmed1!1!1!

That also makes sense but increasing cooperation over time and milestones while getting into project early makes senseI would personally want the Tempest to reach a mature enough level first. BAE Systems presented a new job opening two days ago.
Project Manager- TF-X
-Working jointly with TAI & BAE Systems Programme team and the TAI Project control teams to deliver the TF-X contractual obligations in support of FCC scope.
--Customer Relationship management between in country (Turkey) and back office (Warton) sites. Enact Contract Closure measures to enable transition to Stage II of the TF-X Programme. Manage PM team in country and support TAI IPT delivery teams to generate sales for the contract.
Aiding other companies that are on the program on very specific disciplines and producing bits and pieces without putting too much strain on TAI is an acceptable level of cooperation for now I think. Full commitment to the program isn't necessary for the time being imo. That also makes sense but increasing cooperation over time and milestones while getting into project early makes sense
Even if they do, they won't match this capabilityGame is changing more than Greeks suppose. They will pay extra money to upgrade for the new Rafales,if it is possible near future.
i think rafale f4 version will have an upgraded aesaEven if they do, they won't match this capability
But yet they won't be able to reach the operational capability, even though they get something equivalent to MURAD...i think rafale f4 version will have an upgraded aesa
you can barely do anything with self protection pod against an aesa like apg 83.Authors says that the use of tracking and EW jamming at same time is ideal because you reduce your enemies capability with keeping yours, but if you do this two job on one aesa radar is not,you sacrifice at least one of them, otherwise yıu lost effectiveness,I am talking about stand in not stand off position.Electronic war pods will not outdated.Tubitak says they completed EW pod prototype,so we can expect to see on F16 özgür.Finally F16 özgür with GaN aesa,EW pod ,aselpod version 2,and ramjet AA missile or extended range Gökdoğan will be very good aircraft.
why not ?But yet they won't be able to reach the operational capability, even though they get something equivalent to MURAD...
They don't have support platforms, and don't expect something abysmal from new AESA because that would need a new nose cone, Rafale radome is small thus around 800 T/R moduleswhy not ?
iirc even with a drop tanks under the fuselage rafale has better rcs than f16.Rafale is a small aitcraft and carry a lot of huge dropped tanks that means more RCS.Greeks asking to get meteor missiles to their F16 V s but Americans do not give permission to do that.
I don't think a bigger AESA can be fit in that nose? RBE2 has 838 GaAs T/R modules. The best that can be done is probably to switch to a similarly sized GaN AESA. BTW neither RBE2 nor APG-83 SABR have necessary capabilities to fully take advantage of Meteor missile.i think rafale f4 version will have an upgraded aesa
That's simply not possibleiirc even with a drop tanks under the fuselage rafale has better rcs than f16.
why not ?That's simply not possible
Only with a small percent 1 to 1.2.iirc even with a drop tanks under the fuselage rafale has better rcs than f16.
