XF 9 is very powerful engine , Japanese have a quite good experience in developing and operationalizing jet engine, they will get what they want at last.i post all the news
X-2 delayed and delayed only 32 flights then they said they finished test
Japanese said they need US and UK help to produce the engine, and XF9 isnt go well
you just say japan good japan wonderful japan super technoploy, why dont you engage with points constructively ?
Japan promotion is always"We had wonderful technology ,we can do X we can do Y but fail just because American!"Have they produce any figher engine after WW2?
I think, together with Japan, we should able to produce the engine. With a little help from BAE.actually cant,Japanese had big problem on their engine(XF9) ,they are calling british and american to help them
Their X-2 plane plan fail(used a lot of old parts from T-4 trainer and only fly 32 time then waste)
they are not better than us by now

Oh, that's very naive of you. Indian bureaucracy in defense procurement program is on another level, in a wrong way. Just seeing a MMU wouldn't be enough of a stimulation to trigger changes to fix their systematic flaws in the industry and the government. It's simply baffling how they could send probes to Mars and build nukes with their renowned pool of talents who also shine abroad but at the same time simultaneously fuck multiple defense programs up solely through bad project management. Though at least they seem to have learnt something from building Tejas and are fixing a few things on that side.Seeing more Indian comments and I think this aircraft will be a catalyst for AMCA. There would be more pressure on Indian MoD to take bigger steps after the roll-out. I might be wrong, I don't know much about you guys.
Been away for quite a while but had to come see after receiving the news, and man oh my, that plane looks gorgeous, especially from behind. I'm waiting to see the completed aircraft. For those who bring the updates here, thanks as always. Now it's a good time to say that I appreciate you folks.

On the side note, it's really amusing to visit DFI these days. Those nationalist folks in full denial accompanied by next level mental gymnastics and wild conspiracy theories seeing other countries succeed while their own gigs don't work is superb entertainment. Poor lads are trying every second to find any information be it out of their pants or some random twitter account to denounce others and still their insecurity. It would be a relief for sane Indian military enthusiasts that there are alternatives to DFI with forum members that could actually think.
None. I can imagine that companies involved in TFX are planning to outsource some of the components to Pakistan with the sole purpose of lowering the costs and fasten certain manufacturing lines. They claim Turkey buys components from Pakistan, what aviation components would Turkey possibly buy from Pakistan?
It won't have any effect our govt is deaf and blind.Seeing more Indian comments and I think this aircraft will be a catalyst for AMCA. There would be more pressure on Indian MoD to take bigger steps after the roll-out. I might be wrong, I don't know much about you guys.
That will likely not happen with the TFX,ships etc ok but a platform like the TFX,never.None. I can imagine that companies involved in TFX are planning to outsource some of the components to Pakistan with the sole purpose of lowering the costs and fasten certain manufacturing lines.
I believe that some people are misunderstanding this as a full blown partnership between Turkey and Pakistan which it is not.
