XF 9 is very powerful engine , Japanese have a quite good experience in developing and operationalizing jet engine, they will get what they want at last.

Been away for quite a while but had to come see after receiving the news, and man oh my, that plane looks gorgeous, especially from behind. I'm waiting to see the completed aircraft. For those who bring the updates here, thanks as always. Now it's a good time to say that I appreciate you folks.

Seeing more Indian comments and I think this aircraft will be a catalyst for AMCA. There would be more pressure on Indian MoD to take bigger steps after the roll-out. I might be wrong, I don't know much about you guys.

Oh, that's very naive of you. Indian bureaucracy in defense procurement program is on another level, in a wrong way. Just seeing a MMU wouldn't be enough of a stimulation to trigger changes to fix their systematic flaws in the industry and the government. It's simply baffling how they could send probes to Mars and build nukes with their renowned pool of talents who also shine abroad but at the same time simultaneously fuck multiple defense programs up solely through bad project management. Though at least they seem to have learnt something from building Tejas and are fixing a few things on that side.

On the side note, it's really amusing to visit DFI these days. Those nationalist folks in full denial accompanied by next level mental gymnastics and wild conspiracy theories seeing other countries succeed while their own gigs don't work is superb entertainment. Poor lads are trying every second to find any information be it out of their pants or some random twitter account to denounce others and still their insecurity. It would be a relief for sane Indian military enthusiasts that there are alternatives to DFI with forum members that could actually think.

That will likely not happen with the TFX,ships etc ok but a platform like the TFX,never.

Interesting video about the Orpheus engine project of RR regarding application to Tempest and TFX.
There is a part where it is mentioned about what I Demir said with respect to MMU engine, that the Turkish side is ready to take the business further.
As RR has proven that they can produce engines in short times, if we choose to go ahead with them we may even have engines for the first flight .

This engine’s two prototypes were manufactured from scratch in less than 18 months. If this engine is meant to be for a 6th generation plane and they are offering this to us for our MMU, then I don’t know what we are waiting for.
