Yet italy not approved the sixth package of military aid, Sullivan and Talo discussed the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine.
The United States is asking Italy to speed up the next package of military aid to Ukraine, which may include SAMP-T anti-aircraft missile systems. This is reported by La Repubblica with reference to sources in diplomatic circles.

There is not a single Russian Navy ship in the Black Sea

On Saturday, January 7, the Russian Federation did not put a single ship on combat duty in the Black Sea. This is reported by the naval forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

the only one warship of the Russian Federation was on duty in the Black Sea the day before.

Earlier, OK Yug reported that because of the storm, missile attacks from the Black Sea are unlikely.

However In the Sea of Azov, the enemy continues to control sea communications, keeping two ships on combat duty.

And in the Mediterranean Sea, nine Russian ships have been spotted, including five missile carriers

"Soledar" remains under the control of AFU

Soledar is under the control of the Armed Forces
Russian propagandists reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were ordered to leave the city, but several official sources in Ukraine denied this statement.
Official sources have denied that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have remained in control of Soledar or are planning to withdraw from it, as Russian propagandists claim.

Bakmut has become like a ww1 place full of destruction and trenches.

What makes it even tragic that the future generations will have to clean up and heal the land while there is unexploded ordance lying around.

As a lover of classical music, it feels sad to see a name like Prokofiev appear in a battle zone.

I still remember first time I heard "Battle on the Ice" and the sublime piano concertos as well....the 3rd being the best IMO (I am a melody lover what can I say).

Most of course know him for "Dance of the knights" from his romeo and juliet ballet....or maybe the main theme from peter and the wolf (one of first orchestra performances I attended live as young kid).

We never seem to learn from the ancient battles, nor appreciate enough the finer things life should ought to be about.... and life is squandered in end, hollowing our greatest eternal endeavours and accomplishments. What a pity.

During Ramadan and eid the Russians gave them a gift full of bombs to Syria and Chechnya.

Also the Russians have bombed numerous Churches in Ukraine. So much for Christian mercy arent Ukrainians also Eastern Orthodox Christians or do the Russians believe they are heretics by engaging in their own form of Takfir.

The commander of a tank platoon of Russian T-80 tanks spoke about combat work in Ukraine with mobilized servicemen.

Ukrainian servicemen published a video of an attempt to leave the caponier of an armored personnel carrier M113. The video shows an American M113A1 armored personnel carrier of the Ukrainian army. This modification of the armored vehicle has been produced since 1964 and is equipped with a 6V-53 Detroit Diesel diesel engine with an HP 215 power.

With the likelihood of Leopard 2 tanks being sent to Ukraine in the near future increasing significantly, let's talk about what a commitment of 150 of them might look like who could reasonably provide them in numbers that are reasonable.

Germany: 20
Poland: 20
Spain: 20
Finland: 15
Sweden: 15
Canada: 10
Greece: 10
Turkey: 10
Norway: 10
Netherlands: 10
Denmark: 10

Note that these would be a mix of 4A, 5A and 6A models.

A breakdown like that leaves everyone in pretty good shape, without the burden falling too much on any one country. 150 would represent 3 new tank battalions for Ukraine (50 tanks each).

I think too optimistic. 100 is a max.
Germany wont give 20 Leos and its ok as long as they provide logistic. Poland is ready to send rather 15 then 20 etc.
But, we will see after Ramstain what will happen.

Türkiye will not give any Leo's since we are trying to increase Tank inventory.

Poland, Finland, Norway also urge MBTs against Russians.

Greeks, Hungarians won't give any tanks.

Maybe Spain, Canada could give.

Leopards' supply will be symbolic and in humble numbers from EU. Maximum 50-60 will be supplied.

IMHO Modern IFVs with modern ATGMs are more useful. Upgraded sensors , modern situational awareness, hit-to-kill capacities are more important.

On the other hand currently Does Ukraine lack of MBTs?

Let's see Germans how big balls have.

Anyway welcome to Leopards.

Germany has lots of Leopard 1 tanks that are in storage.

Send them to Ukraine.

A lot of old tanks may be obsolete but modernisation packages are more than enough to take on Russian tanks who modernised their old gear while still using some old stuff.

Weapons should be used rather than being kept in storage which will most likely never be used.

Leopard 2 with modern packages should also be formidable to take on T90s.

An old weapon is better used than rotting away in storage or in a museum.

Finland promises Ukraine Leopard 2 tanks, but there is a condition
1673171844424.png

Finland will provide Ukraine with Leopard 2 tanks if the decision is approved in Europe

Hakkianen noted that many European countries have more opportunities to provide Ukraine with armored vehicles than Finland.

Finland can provide Ukraine with Leopard 2 battle tanks, subject to the adoption of a corresponding decision in Europe. This was stated by the chairman of the Defense Committee, Antti Hakkianen, reports MTV Uutis.

Greece is ready to allow for the supply of Marder to Ukraine

As part of the "ring exchange" Greece must transfer 40 BMP-1 to Ukraine and receive the same number of German vehicles.

Earlier, Greece handed over 40 Soviet BMP-1s to Ukraine. As part of the “ring exchange”, the country was going to receive the same amount of German Marder. But if necessary, Greece is ready to give way to Ukraine, so that our country would receive BMPs sooner. Bild writes about it.

Greece's defenses will not be affected if the delivery of Marder is delayed," a senior military official told the publication.

According to Greek Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos, Greece has already delivered more to Ukraine than it received.

"The agreement on the exchange of armored combat vehicles from Germany to Greece and from Greece to Ukraine is being carried out normally. ... We received the first 14 Marder vehicles from Germany and delivered 20 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. In January we will receive more Marder and deliver more infantry fighting vehicles," the minister said. .

Earlier it was reported that Greece is considering the possibility of transferring S-300 air defense systems to Ukraine.
cunny Greeks they passed the ball to Germany
