TSK has more than enough to handle both situations simultaniously, this reasonning is frankly ridiculous.
Besides why would TSK need that many transport helicopters against pkk?
Not only helicopters, there are hundreds of engineering vehicles in the armored units around/inside the disaster region.

suriye, karabag and libya. Moving soldiers and quipments need time thats the facts. Before going operations you prepare, feeding soldiers and fuelling equipments how do you want to do?

Yeah, now in third day, meanwhile there is rumors of anarchy in Hatay but who knows what to believe because the government cut the main communication method of the people...
Army could easily handle the situation but fact is erdogan is scared because TSK still enjoys high repuation among population while his is rapidly declining.
C'mon we all know the reason for all these.

Helicopters are used for operations and are maintained. You can not ask from the amry to give all the equipments, what if pkk attacks and they need it? Mobilising a army need management and time.

people are emotional....
Army was ready in the morning.

Not a fan of Akar, but looking at who is in field and who is resting at their house makes it clear to most people.
They see Akar around managing things, not the ministers who could do the same for their own parts.

In my opinion the logical way at this point is to attach AFAD within TAF command chain, not vice-versa.

This is all wargamed (equivalent). TR tectonic situation is well known permanent security threat.

Natural disaster response is civil defence , it is part and parcel of national defence. It is all wargamed, so now questions will have to be asked why the forces were not given the immediate go-time to put the full action plan from first minute of disaster news coming in.

Turkish army should have been allowed to saturate the area with strong tough guys and all the logistics to back them up like they would for warzone.

In the meantime, let me share a small piece of information for people who wonder why Hatay has been so isolated and why the aid has been so late: Most of the teams residing in Hatay and within local institutions are also under the rubble. This alone shows the importance of the army intervention in such crisis situations.

Why should humanitarian aid be provided only and exclusively through state institutions and professional NGOs institutionalized in this field?
This is not called goodness. You cannot treat people like this when they are trying to hold on to the hope that their relatives are alive.

There's a lot of help now on the ground, but clearly not everywhere. Its a huge affected area, this is big, but threatening citizens for speaking up or censorship does not help at all.

Well i am agree with this, at least in Indonesian and Japan cases, Armed Forces and Police Forces is one of the most vital element of forces readily available in affected area with all of their means and efficient communication method and tools, vehicles and logistic system, and even Field Hospital units. Police and Army also much more convenient to prevent large scale disturbance in the affected areas, including looting and riots.

Indonesian Search And Rescue is already being departed to go to the affected areas in Turkey. There is also teams from Indonesian Red cross and other agencies.

The same is the case in Turkey, army is simply the best prepared and organized institution to handle this ''arMy Is fOr wAR, noT tO gEt PEopLe oUT oF rUbBle'' is the biggest bullshit i have heard in a while.
But you know its easy to find excuses in warm chairs while millions will freeze outside in minus temperatures tonight.

Syrians form the gangs of 50 people armed with knives start looting people with no police force to stop them
I always said that those aliens are future terrorists. But some islamists on this forum can't accept that. Doesn't matter anyway, those terrorists must be killed.
