EmperorWhat's the meaning?
Khan of Khans.What's the meaning?
Good, it would be a problem if it was Kağan. In fact, when children are named, they are called Kaan, not Kağan, Khan or Han.
Funny cus : Kaan the oldest mentions is sogdian / mongol. not Turkic you should stop hating turkish language . it's related to Turkic word Kan(blood) but has other oldest forms. we keep as turkic still other mentions are available. The aircraft's name-father is Mr Devlet (in eng. Mr.State, lol). They were probably going to give it an Arabic name, so thanks to Devlet Bahçeli.
Not the case at all. I named my nephew Kaan and here in the states they pronounce it just like in Turkish.Good, it would be a problem if it was Kağan. In fact, when children are named, they are called Kaan, not Kağan, Khan or Han.
The pronunciation will be a bit strange for foreigners but it's fine for us.
Wrong the title Kagan was mentioned by Chinese sources even during the Xiongnu/Hun period, it had the same meaning "Emperor", Sogdian btw. is a Indo-Iranian language.Funny cus : Kaan the oldest mentions is sogdian / mongol. not Turkic you should stop hating turkish language . it's related to Turkic word Kan(blood) but has other oldest forms. we keep as turkic still other mentions are available.
-Dear friend . That's correct. But what don't get is "χān,χaġan" which is mentioned in chines comes from sogd. text ...Wrong the title Kagan was mentioned by Chinese sources even during the Xiongnu/Hun period, it had the same meaning "Emperor", Sogdian btw. is a Indo-Iranian language
Can't believe noone mentioned it yet. It will also roll of the tongue pretty easily for Anglo audience.
Mighty KAAN had three sons, Bozdogan han, Gokdogan han and Gokhan. Anka Beg and Bayraktar Beg were two loyal comrade-in-arms. His fame was spreading rapidly to every corner of Asia. Then begins a storytelling and music in the style of Alper Çağlar.khan song by ak shaman.
And the name being uttered by the “Khan” of ham acting himself, Mr. Shatner makes it more iconic imoEntirely the first thing that popped into my head, in a good way.
This is great name selection in the end, as there is lot of soft power in this name just by this scene alone and "Wrath of Khan"!
With Istikbal or something like that, I was thinking essentially another nickname will arise over time instead (from say pilots themselves) very much like "Viper" did from "Fighting Falcon" (which is not so catchy).
