The point is, if you keep bowing your head down they will just keep bending you over. Every time they engage in hostile acts against our nation their has to be repercussions, otherwise they will keep doing it. And in the long run you will come out the big loser.

Maybe it's not only a defence program, but also a attack program, like THAAD. No need to jump on the anti-Russian fearmonger-wagon. We make a lot of money with Russia, no need to frustrate that.

Yes, we can, but showing it friendly on screen doesn't mean those can't be shot at. IFF doesn't work that way. When we are hooked up to the EU network IFF codes will designate us friendly but luckily we have our own separate national IFF capability. We can use both of those as we see fit.
