Did you noticed the VLS? It looks bigger than on the first I-class, seems like it will have MIDLAS strike variant or for larger missiles such as SIPER Blk2.
Yes, following Istifs will have the taller "strike length" MIDLAS launch systems.

Yup this was confirmed earlier last year at DSA.

I think depending on how fast development goes with our PDMS projects we might see the second batch be equipped with an PDMS CIWS instead of Gökdeniz.

My question would be with ATOM 25MM being introduced by Aselsan, could we see SMASH 25MM ATOM+Göksür/Levent in future configs.

Turkiye launches another Istiff Class Frigate TCG IZMIR

Multi-role 'I' Class Frigate is capable of efficiently carrying out anti-submarine, anti-surface and anti-air warfare, patrolling activities, reconnaissance, surveillance, target detection, identification, recognition, and early warning missions. Thus, the Frigate is equipped with all sophisticated sensors and weapons regarding all principle warfares mainly AAW.

Many news from ASFAT today.

"One of the two HİSAR-class Offshore Patrol Vessels produced by ASFAT may be exported to a European country before entering the inventory."

Country in question maybe Romania, we've heard about a possible OPV sale to Romania for the last few months.

"Negotiations are ongoing for frigate exports to Saudi Arabia. 2 ships are planned to be produced in Turkey and 3 ships in Saudi Arabia. An Istif class based design is being proposed."
Aselsan's 2023 report mentioned a frigate sale to a Gulf country, looks to be on track.

"ASFAT signed the Phase-1 design agreement for the TF-2000. Phase-1 will cover the design and production of some parts of the ship. Phase-2 will involve prototype production of the ship."

"Within the scope of the "National Submarine" MİLDEN Project, ASFAT was assigned by the Ministry of National Defense to carry out all coordination activities between the Ministries of Defense and Naval Forces of other countries and to form the Joint Technical Working Group."

A possible joint project to be started between unnamed partner countries for Milden? Spain?

Has to be, right? I can't think of any other country we have a naval cooperation with like we do with them, and no other country where there have been rumours about a submarine cooperation.

It's what comes first to mind, if we add the recent changes at Aspilsan. A technologic and production cooperation may be in the works, we don't know.

This is the most interesting one, possibly both two are intended to be transferred / sold. While Navy will be receiving the latter 4 (and possibly another 6 of the same outfit).

Possibly UK on certain subjects. Might as well get partnerships on different components/parts with different actors.

But it also mentions other navies, interestingly. Tad weird.

No... we need at least one gun system CIWS

Even TF2000 have both gun and missile ciws...
