Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Greece. We have the same food, same culture. There's no problem between our two countries that can't be solved through diplomacy. We should be on friendly terms. If we had reasonable leaders, we would be.

After WWI Greeks invaded Anatolia and burned and looted and did a lot of heinous things. But in the end they had to learn how to swim. So as far as I'm concerned, we're even. Cyprus, similiar story, mistakes were made and the cost was paid. Whatever, water under the bridge.
All what i can say to that point is saying a common saying in my hometown: "what started with blood, will always end in blood and blood can never disappear"
But there's one thing your country has done recently that was absolutely shameful and that was harboring PKK leaders in 1990'ies. I am of the opinion that if Greece handed over Öcalan to Turkey, today we would be on much better terms. But that's not what they did. A great opportunity was lost.

So here we are, unfortunately thinking that Greece maybe secretly arming or training kurdish terrorists isn't such a great leap in logic.
The idea that many turks and other nationalities worldwide dont get is a term known as...... double faced hypocrites (no offense to anyone)
Turkey and Greece were always at odds.... Period!

Hostility even existed before Ataturk formed the modern Turkey! Greece hates the Turks for destroying their Byzantine Empire (and that is understandable). If it was still alive, they would have still been ruling Europe tbh!

After decades of war, a brief period of peace and good relations began between the two parties until lovely black gold was found in the Mediterranean! Now this lovely source of profit is located between 2 previous superpowers.... so how do we share it? Turkey said.... lets share it in half..... while Greece said lets take most of it on the basis of teeny tiny islands surrounding turkey..... like wtf! Who would accept that! Even the prime backer of Greece's claim.... FRANCE... used to cry and shit themselves to the international court because the UK wanted extra sea territory and yet somehow they are helpimg GREECE with their claims! Like what sort of bullshit hypocricy is this! Many reasons like history and current geopolitical tensions do come into play but lets leave it for another day!

From this point, and tensions were re-ignited. As a citizen, you may think of peace between ppl but a leader who has millions of lives on his shoulders (whether the AKP, CHP, or anyone else) such sources of revenue will aid the people one way or another.... such an example would include the UAE and KSA

Now..... how to force my terms on the other party..... this is the stage in which Turkey and Greece are at right now! Greece is using the West (the current superpowers) and economics as a leverage against the Turks and knowing the hot-blooded mature of the Turks..... they were like.... No FQ it! Why did Greece take Ocalan into protection as you said? Werent the greeks and turks brothers? Didnt you guys share the same culture? Didnt everyone learn his lesson? The answer is that the greeks knew how dangerous the PKK is, they knew how destabilising it would be for Turkey and how it would weaken the Turkish nation internally... so why not support it? And gain everything to yourself!

I wanna say a lot more tbh but I feel that I prolonged it.....I would like you to refer to a post (either on this thread or another and presumably typed by GoatsMilk) about the interactions between Turks and Greeks in Europe and Turks and Kurds in Europe and the you will understand what I mean
if anyone wanna know more.... just look at current tensions between japan and South Korea...... between japan and Russia....... between China and all nations surrounding it......
Iam one of those who believe that history connects us. At the end, we humans sadly dont learn from history. Thus, history repeats itself.
Whether in Japan, Turkey Greece, China, France, Afghanistan, Egypt, Israel, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Philipine, Korea etc..... history is the same but The actors are just different

Many might not agree with what I said and that is fine. Many might call me propaganda believer or whatever but sadly history always states that this is the undeniabke fact! This is my two cents on the issue and how the West's claims for peace are bullshit and the prime example is how Europe acted in Afghanistan

You are quite mistaken my friend!
PKK has always been one of the most important threats to the nation of Turkey as a whole.
Many may speculate as to why this is true and the answer to that is in IDEALOGY of the PKK. What does the PKK fight for? What does the PKK strive for? What does the PKK sacrifice their lives for? All of these questions have one answer.... and that is autonomy and nationalism
The pure idiotic idea that the KURDS are a group of oppressed ppl by the ppl of Syria, Iraq, and Turkey and the KURDS can reach their true untapped potential by gaining independence is pure bullshit
Sadly throughout history, certain political groups or individuals, used to raise an army of fanatics for their own individual benefit by instilling such thoughts

Ideas based on false nationalism is just as effective and as lasting as pure nationalism. In fact, as you feel oppressed with false nationalism, you may feel more inclined to be oppressive, aggressive, and radical. This is what the PKK is right now! The PKK is a thought akin to religion, it will never die unless you pluck their roots away
Rn, many turks may have forgotten how harmful the PKK is but I would like you to watch how scary their underground tunnel in Syria and Iraq are (through videos shared by the TSK). Just imagine Turkey retreating back from Syria and Iraq without cutting their roots! They would rebuild their defenses, supply lines, cave routes, and learn from their previous mistakes and will then start carrying cross-border operations in Turkey for terrorising the People and applying a sort of political pressure in Turkey.
Dont forget that in 4th generation warfare, cheap suicide drones are a thing and the PKK have recently started to learn to do so! Just imagine what they will do with it when they are literally next to the border. Turkey will never be able to stop the PKK once they reach the Turkish border again!
Just look at other areas of the world for Gods sake....lets take a recent one like Ethiopia
The democratically elected President..... Abiy Ahmed launched an offensive to stop the Tigrayan ppl from declaring independence as they feel that all forms of power should revolve around Tigrayans only (as they believe that they are superior to the rest of the ethnjc groups in Ethiopia). When Abiy reached the capital, The west criticised him and was forced to retreat back which lead to the reorganisation of Tigrayan forces and now they are invading Ethiopia at an alarming rate!!
Conclusion: You must never allow any PKK roots to remain in Syria or Iraq and rebuild their lines because they will get stronger...
A metaphor to that is using antibiotics to kill bacteria ineffectively which leads to the bacteria becoming resistant and developing into super bugs

The main reason why I dont like the CHP, for example, is because they allied themselves with the HDP (pro PKK party). With this, they may win the election but the long term consequences of this single act will be devastating for the country!!
I disagree with you, PKK is not as dangerous as before. We have plenty of problems right now we can focus on them while fighting terrorist.

Nope they are. I agree that the Turkish Nation is currently facing even more problems than before ranging from refugees to economic and geopolitical influence with other countries! However, that doesnt mean that you ought to ignore an old problem just because its effect has lessened a bit

For example, lets talk about China. Unlike the past, China is now on the path to global dominance! China is facing the monolithic UK, Europe, and obviously the USA; yet, they still keep an eye on the little weak Uighurs (dont know if the spelling is correct). Ask yourself why do they always keep an eye on such weak ppl that have literally been left without anything at all. The answer to that is they are religious ppl and dont like the current government; thus, no matter how small the possibility of an uprising or a criticism is.... it is still a possibility. When you have a 50% or a 0.005% all what it indicates is that the incidence is less than normal but it doesnt indicate that it Wont happen. You may spin the Russian roulette and always end up with the worst possible option.
When a nation rises to supremacy, any small block left unturned or unattended may turn into a weapon against it

Another example was said to me by a friend in medical school. He once asked me... Bro, if u are diagnosed years ago with severe anemia and to counter its effects you are taking iron supplements etc and now you are feeling fine. Sadly recently you were also diagnosed with an even greater disease like Lupus, autoimmune disorder, or cancer and you are obliged to take medicine to lessen the pain, will you stop taking the iron supplements? I replied by No! He asked why would you do so when you dont feel the effects of severe anemia anymore? I said because by taking the chemotherapy or whatever drug to treat the new disease you will lessen the new pain yet if u stopped the iron supplements, you may die from severe anemia. He smiled and said..... Nations are also like this.... many concentrate on the big things and ignore the teeny tiny small things yet they always end up destroyed by the small thing such as anemia even when the patient was diagnosed with a severe disease like cancer
This was long ago... so I may not remember the conversation well tbh

If Germany and France are buddies today
And Turkey and Greece can't be, than that's because of morally corrupt people.

Edit: posting this from Rhodes at the beach as we speak.

Wholeheartedly agree
However that is only possible if both sides accept each other as equals tbh

I dont think that Greece does think of Turkey as an equal. If they did, they would have to realise that just like the greeks, the turks have a right in the mediterranean and just like how much they hate refugees the turks hate it too but instead turks get this......

This couldn't be more wrong.

After the Soviet Union collapsed, the USA no longer wanted a strong Turkey as it would threaten western interests in the Middle East. When I say Turkey, I mean the Kemalist Military of the 90s, which launched many successful operations against PKK in Iraq, and threatened both Greece and Syria with war which led to both of them backing down.

Just because secularists may be more ideologically aligned with the west, doesn't mean that they benefit it. At the end of the day, what has more potential, a nation of 80 million who adhere to science or a nation of 100+ million who are all religious fundamentalists? The west has been supporting Islamists within Turkey for a long time, because it never trusted the Kemalists. Don't forget that Ataturk was one of the only leaders who fought and won against imperialists. He gained respect and admiration for this, but do you really think that Westerners love him? Hell no. He ruined their plans, and simultaneously modernized the country.

I recall a document from the 90s which states that the Kemalist Military needs to be removed and replaced by Islamists, hence why the west supported FETO... and AKP. Why do you think that FETO put them on trial and Erdogan SUPPORTED the trials?

Erdogan is a western puppet, nothing more. Let's see what he has done for them:
  • Put innocent military staff on trial and jailed them because a man who now lives in Pennsylvania wanted it
  • Backed the USA's rebels in Syria
  • Allowed Syrian borders to stay open for arms and militant transfer in order to topple Assad
  • Watched as the west created a PKK terror state next door (still not solved)
  • Is creating a canal so the USA can bypass the Montreux Convention (so they can send aircraft carriers and other ships to the Black Sea and keep them there)
  • Made peace with PKK multiple times
  • Got rid of death penalty to appease the EU
  • Allowed an assortment of Kurdish militants including PKK terrorists from Iraq to cross over from Turkey to Syria
  • Agreed to be a Syrian refugee dump for a few billion dollars
  • & once again agreed to the same deal but for Afghans
  • Is literally vetting Afghans for the USA as we speak.
  • Literally said himself that he is one of the leaders of the Great Middle East Project, literally stating that he will make Diyabakir the Paris of the Middle East??? Tell me what that means?

Now tell me again how Erdo is not a puppet, but a party which hasn't had the opportunity to rule in decades is purely comprised of puppets?. You don't live here, you're not even Turk, yet you think you know better than us! Out of here buddy. You know nothing about us, stop acting like you do. Almost every Turk here who liked Erdo previously is waking up to his true nature, but you, living in Albania, knows better than us? Right.
Akp fans will say NOOO WHAT DID KEMALIST DO FOR THIS COUNTRY :((( kemalism done more good for this country than any islamist ever did

If Erdo trusts that guy with the sunglasses it means he is really easy to fool. UAE is cooking up something again. Up to this point, UAE failed but from now on they will be even more aggressive as time is on our side.

Wholeheartedly agree
Wherever the UAE goes, destruction comes. They probably learned from their mistakes as well. Now they know that Turkey can actually pack a serious punch when it comes to hard power and actual warfare
Just hope that ERDO can play the damn game well. Dont wanna CHP 2.0
They can invest, bring money to the country; but as long as they support factors that are against turkey's interests, borders should be drawn and made clear

Yeah I agree, but attitudes have to change.

And to be honest, we don't have any other choice. Couple of weeks of war in Azerbaijan costed over 10 thousand lives. A war between Turkey and Greece could result in hundreds of thousands of deaths.

I don't think either side has a taste for that much blood.

We need to grow the fvck up and solve our problems peacefully.

And @Lool Too long, didn't read buddy

Hahahaha rezil firma

Can’t do anything right. It’s most successful product isnt even its own. Always looking for excuses to buy time.

Hope this clown show of a company gets what it deserves in two years.
"lack of ground" lol

They are probably getting the land from the government for free as a subsidy.

Why build in Karasu when you can get more valuable land in İzmir?
