@Knowledgeseeker , what unit is considered the elite of the Moroccan army ? I don't mean special forces but more conventional army level elite (the best equipped, the best trained)
Perhaps BIP! Moroccan paratrooper unit brigade. It is an elite force within the MAF. It includes commando HALO/HAHO teams, and other types of commandos aswell as the standard infantry paratrooper brigade. The Moroccan army has a long tradition of paratrooper units, with expertise acquired over the years. We can see that morocco have used this units during the Israeli war in 1973, the 20+ years of war in sahara, as well as deploying 1 500 paratroopers to support one of our only friends in zaire in late 70s.

The members of BIP often win world military parachuting competitions.

Israeli army chief set to visit Morocco for 1st official trip

A military statement said the visit comes within efforts to strengthen military and security cooperation between Israel and Morocco.

“One of the subjects that will be discussed (in Morocco) this week will be knowledge-sharing, training — the ability to train together in joint maneuvers — weapons development, the transfer of know-how and perhaps also of weaponry,” military spokesman Brig.-General Ran Kochav had told Ynet TV.

Kochavi is expected to meet senior military officials during his visit to Morocco.

There was no comment from Moroccan authorities on the visit.

In November of last year, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz visited Morocco where he signed a memorandum of understanding with his Moroccan counterpart to allow defense and military cooperation between the defense establishments in the two countries.

Yesterday morocco drone striked the terrorist "Khatri Ould Barra", who was appointed to manage the so-called gendarmerie in the Polisario mercenaries, after the killing of the former commander named Dah Al-Bandir by Moroccan drones. - The killed terrorist was also heading the so-called commander of the fourth district

Good I hope to see more cooperation between India and Morocco.

IMO, Morocco navy should eventually look at acquiring seahawk ASW for its FREMM frigate program (if it does go ahead and acquire more FREMM).

This will provide the apex level of training + exercise morocco can do with many navies...along with capability it presents.

India is very happy with Seahawks it is getting for this very reason.

Yeah Morocco definitly need more ASW if its gonna acquire more FREMM frigates! Right now morocco is gonna get delivered 3 Bell 412 EPI for the navy. Bare in mind that our sigma corvettes are designed to operate in all ASW/ASuW scenarios. Its also strongly reported that morocco will go for an additional of 12 Ah64-E to use it in our navy.

The Indonesian defense minister wants to deepen military cooperation with Morocco.

Moroccan-Indonesian military relations are based on 3 principles: - The development of mutual trust - Improving defense capabilities - The encouragement of the independence of the military industry

I'm not sure if Indonesian mil industry has anything to offer, but maybe the navy could arrange for meet and greet between two SIGMA users :D

Or we could train Morocco's submarine crew if they decide to have one, while Morocco's gives us insight on F-16 operation in contested airspace (such as in Yemen)

Maybe something like this to replace Toyota DIY technicals that is currently used by the Moroccan army. Looks good for the desert terrain.

Yes! Morocco would need a good amount of training of experienced personal when it comes to submarine. You still have a good amount of experience when it comes to producing armored vehicles, and joint production with other countries as turkey, and the netherlands. Especially the navy shipbuilding industry. Alot to learn from each other!

6 MIDS JTRS data links for Moroccan command and control stations. The system provides the ability to exchange tactical information in an encrypted and secure manner with various air, land and ground platforms that have the same equipment.

The proposed sale will improve Morocco’s capability to meet current and future threats by providing timely Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and target acquisition for its security and defense

For the first time the Moroccan army admits to having long range defence missiles, as well as electronic warfare systems!

the official magazine of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces confirms the construction of a layered air defense network as well as an integrated network. The article is mentioning contracting, and owning long-range, and anti-ballistic air defense systems most likely related to operating fd2000b/Pac 3, and preparing to receive Barak MX! I'm not sure if the fd2000B export variant has anti-ballistic missile capability, so it s also possible that morocco has received the first batches of Barak MX. The only logical answer would be that the news about the deal came out late, like the tb2 deal between Turkey and Morocco. Chinese defense systems in 2009, beginning with the Chinese Sky Card, then the Sky Dragon, then the FD2000B.

The magazine also mentioned that training on the electronic warfare system has begun, and as for the electronic warfare systems its most likely the Aselsan Koral that are reported to be delivered in 2023.
