Just a thing to remember Bozdağan when air launched was a mach 4 missile :devilish:

Then in its ground launched version it would be around Mach 3.

Unlike RIM 116 it has TVC, so expect it to be more capable against supersonic targets.

''NAVAL'' barak 8 is a crazy missile with a dual-pulse rocket motor, active radar seeker and a two-way data link but mach 2. just for the sake of clearification I am not claiming that Bozdoğan is far more superior than the enlisted missiles but just simply reminding the fact that Bozdağan was an uncommonly fast fox two missile.

Would it make sense to fit these with Akkor/Pusat for point defense ?

ironically an AD system needing an AD to defend it. It's paramount that we equip all vehicles with capability to passively extend the range of our radars/sensors for early spotting create a huge web that feeds back intel.

I don't think any air defence system goes so close to the line that where it becomes target of ATGM and RPGs.

true, but looking at how the front has changed to encompass drones and loitering munition, I think it would be prudent to look at PD solution for vehicles like these.

high value vehicles are costly and while IFV seem to be treated like popcorn AD vehicles have higher value, like Howitzers. We've seen how landmines are today and they're just as good as they used to be in the past. Perhaps some sort of PD Jamming system could be utilized.

In that case, main gun is a superior point defence against loitering ammunitions and artillery rounds.
Remember, it uses smart ATOM. Like the one below.

self protection Jamming suite is actually a good idea, works against IEDs.

Roketsan Burç Short Range AD System. 4 fixed AESA radars, 20mm Gun, 8 Sungurs on 2 pods on the sides, built on top of FNSS İzci 8X8. And they already made the first firing test for the gun. Looks like another small UAV/kamikaze drone killer.

😁
Thanks to UkroTürk üstad, when I see this type of pedestal-mounted or mini turret type low altitude defense system, now the first thing that comes to my mind is Tuzla patrol boats.
