More than likely just a twin 35mm turret like Korkut's without AKR radar as it's part of a system. You can actually see the AKR right behind it on a different pedestal.

These are massive systems, each battery costs somewhere between 40-200 million dollars. They can't be built over a month.

Current projection is 11 "batteries" of Hisar and Siper to be delivered to MSB by 2029.

I mean, if you consider the potential air defence need of TSK, then it is not sufficient. Having lesser numbers of AMD assets cannot be compensated in any other way. For example, Poles know this.

Poles have open credit lines, a strong economy and allies don't embargo more than half of the stuff they want to buy. We've asked for SAMP-T for more than a decade at this point.

It's a big country, we will never have enough air defence assets to cover it and our commitments elsewhere. 11 is a start, as we currently have no modern AMD assets but for 1-3 Hisar batteries, 10-14 Korkut batteries and 3-5 modernized GDF guns. Actual needs are probably 6 times these, at least.

Do we have any idea roughly how many Hisar missiles are we producing per month or year? Does Hisar missile production have been affected from long waiting times for sub-components etc?

The First Official Statement on Steel Dome: Here Are Its Features

President of Defense Industry, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, made significant statements about the Steel Dome Project. Görgün touched on the details of the Steel Dome.

In the statement made by Prof. Dr. Görgün regarding the matter, he said: “Yesterday, under the chairmanship of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we held our Defense Industry Executive Committee meeting. During the meeting, we made important assessments regarding the current level of the Turkish defense industry, its future goals, and critical projects.

We decided on 56 projects aimed at meeting the needs of our Turkish Armed Forces, General Directorate of Security, and General Command of Gendarmerie. We made decisions on topics such as kamikaze unmanned sea vehicles, kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles, long-range missile systems, and air defense systems.

One of the important decisions made, undoubtedly, was the development of the STEEL DOME, which we will develop as a 'system of systems.'

'Our National and Indigenous Project: STEEL DOME'

- It will ensure the integrated operation of all our sensors and weapons under a network structure with our layered air defense systems,
- The creation of a common air picture,
- The real-time delivery of this picture to operational centers, and
- The presentation of this information to decision-makers with the support of artificial intelligence.

The STEEL DOME project will be carried out with the joint efforts of our companies ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, TÜBİTAK SAGE, and MKE.

I hope the project will be beneficial and auspicious for our country and nation.
