" Atotal of 57 GÖKBEY helicopters will be delivered to the Turkish Gendarmerie, Police, Land and Air Forces, Coast Guard, and Naval Forces."
What i dont like is that branches of Tuekiye goverment take order from those ! All T129 helicopters of jandarma, police shold be given to land forces or Land forces should order more T 129 . Now same with Gökbeys 😡😡😡
What our armies gonna do with just 30 new helicopters ?!
Our army is second largest NATO with 4 different land armies and all orders should be 200 helicopters .
30 helicopter order is a order for bullgaria , lithuania type country not Turkiye

Police and Gendarme undertake their own COIN operations.

This is not the only or the last order for T625. Others will follow in time. For KKK, it will first replace UH-1s of which some 70+ should be in service.

Thats just the first order so the company has the asurance of the goverment that they will purchase it also gökbey orders for TAF will most likely be above 200 replacing older Hueys as well as blackhawks + new

We got the official confirmation of start of TS-3000 project for T-925 and T-929.

TAI CEO:

He said, "We have also launched our 3,000-horsepower engine project at TEI. Hopefully, in the early 2030s, we will have presented a helicopter (T-925) to users that we can truly call entirely our own in every aspect."

I hope they order something between 150 and 200 of these the more they order the better but this seems more realistic as some 70 have already been ordered. T925 will be at least 120 depending if army wants to replace their older cougars and Blackhawks

It's beautiful, but deliveries are far too few. I hope to see more Gökbey deliveries, and more than our need. +50 more than our need would be good. As we can see how easy it is to sell ready to be shipped products to 3rd countries

Per what's available, production will not continue for T70. Apart from what was already on the line with parts ordered from abroad, there won't be more deliveries.

I don't think anyone's ordering 50 20+ million helicopters just to find them suitors in the future. Production line will be open for years, it'll find its customers.

Thinking about it, I'm more interested in why HvKK is getting a rather large share of T70s. They already operated 20 Cougars in SAR and CSAR variants, with total of 6 T70s on order. Violethawk was a SAR variant, other 3 I think are CSAR variants. They also ordered 4 T625s. Maybe Cougars are slowly being readied to be retired, which would make the need for T925 an even bigger urgency.

According to latest news, due to sanctions applied to Turkish defence entities by USA, the T70 production has almost come to a halt. There are a limited amount of helicopters that can be produced.
Apart from that, the licence agreement with Sikorsky was coming to an end anyway; and we couldn’t manufacture more than 38 helicopters in total out of 109 previously programmed.
However TEI had already produced 63 engines for the programme by end of 2021 and delivered 50 of them and was still working to meet the total engine quantity of 236 pieces. We don’t know how many of these engines are in stock right now and what the ownership rights on them are.
TEI was producing the T700-TEI-701D engine version with over 60% locality rate that included the hot parts.

These engines have potential to develop 3000HP shaft power output. (GE have a version that is rated at 3000HP). TEI could copy/redesign this engine as they did with the CTS-800 to introduce enough changes, and make it our own. These new engines can be used in T925 and T929 helicopters.

With helicopters being so expensive and easy targets in any battlefront duty, they may seem to be not such urgent platforms to produce. But for logistics, troop and equipment relocatiion, naval attack and reconnaissance duties they are very important. We do need a good quantity of these.
