Original design with high tail was cool. I heard weight was dropped, do they plan on making a heavier helicopter later down the track with a similar design to the original concept?

Edit: never mind, seems like it's now even heavier than originally planned. Still no idea why rear ramp was removed though

Due to excessive bombing by the Russians there is no engine coming out of the Motor Sich factory that are related to turbofans.
However the helicopter engine production, specifically the TV3-117VMA-SBM1V engine, seems to be still alive. However, how long this can be the case, is anybody’s guess.

The only 3000HP class engine produced by RR was Turbomecha RTM322, which actually develops 2600-3000HP .

But the complete production line has been given to Safran now. So Safran is not going to sell them to us.

Everything is possible, always. It's not a bigger claim than using Ukrainian engines for serial production birds. Relations have been thawing since the last year. If the idea is to get closer to Europe, getting closer to France is also necessary. Though locally produced T700 would still be the best option.

Göksu is a horrible name for a helicopter.
