According to latest news coming out from the region;
Due to excessive bombing by the Russians there is no engine coming out of the Motor Sich factory that are related to turbofans.
However the helicopter engine production, specifically the TV3-117VMA-SBM1V engine, seems to be still alive. However, how long this can be the case, is anybody’s guess.

Is that the engine with the Black smoke seen on ATAK 2 first lift off?

The only 3000HP class engine produced by RR was Turbomecha RTM322, which actually develops 2600-3000HP .

But the complete production line has been given to Safran now. So Safran is not going to sell them to us.

Everything is possible, always. It's not a bigger claim than using Ukrainian engines for serial production birds. Relations have been thawing since the last year. If the idea is to get closer to Europe, getting closer to France is also necessary. Though locally produced T700 would still be the best option.

Göksu is a horrible name for a helicopter.

I'm sure they still have the blueprints,we could call it ''indigenous''.
Why dont we have the kind of people able to investigate and make such deals,or do we?

Yeah, no. Getting closer to France is impossible, especially since Armenian, Greek, Cypriot and Jewish lobbies are too powerful there and their populace would never accept France working closely with a "Muslim" country, especially us. They have been against us even after all the European rearmament stuff, they blocked ammo being bought from us for Ukraine and you think they'll work with us? Then I've got a bridge to sell you my friend.

It is more likely that I'll sprout wings from my back and start flying than France letting us get engines.

What a talk about France without knowing it. France supplied TR-40 engines for Atmaca and SOM missiles for years, when Turkey cant buy those from anywhere else. With right price and politics, France can sell anything. But French stuff are expensive and they produce time is too long. Which Turkey has no time and extra money to spend on France. So they are not a likely candidate.

Using Ukrainian engines without getting license is mad. But again Ukraine is not giving any license. Because they dont have qualification to teach some other companies to, how to build engine. They are dying breath.

Only T-700 series engines are good option for Turkey but with this political climate it is really far shoot. TEI already producing T-700 for T-70.

TEI already said they are working on engine for T-925 but it will take time and I dont think it will similar to TV3-117VMA, so that may need modification on T-925 which is not good.

They need to fix the engines first to move forward on this adventure.
