Gürcan Okumuş was appointed as SAGE manager in 2018 after the attempted FETÖ coup and at the height of the fight against FETÖ. So, Erdogan appointed a FETÖ member to a key office while claiming he is fighting FETÖ. The reality is ASSAN earns a lot of money, and some really strong people want a piece of that pie, and ASSAN doesn't want to share. Now they forcefully took the whole pie. ASSAN will probably come under the control of Varlık Fonu (Turkish Wealth Fund). That is why no one wants to invest in Turkiye. Erdogan can just seize your company overnight.
So ? Didnt whole 'democratic' EU & US seize all russian companies that had 0 connection with putin or with war !
İf goverment seize Assan , there is a resson and we will know it sooner pr later ...

You are comparing apples with oranges. If Turkiye had seized assets of the UAE after the coup, i would have completely supported the move. This is not the same thing. Whether you like it or not, Russia declared war and invaded Ukraine. It is totally ok to seize Russian assets even assets not directly related to Russian war on Ukraine.

The real question here is....
If Assan is appointed to be under the Turkish Wealth Fund, then will they continue to operate as they did previously or not and will Gurcan Okumus continue operating in the company or will they jail him

He will be tried in custody and will be released when the situation calms down. He might get a minor sentence. Gürcan is not important here; Assan is. He might also be offered under-the-table deals. Contracts that Assan signed and money earned will automatically be transferred to the wealth fund. The president of the wealth fund is Erdogan himself, and he has unlimited power to use the money of the wealth fund as he likes. Further investments by ASSAN will likely be halted.

This is just my thought but if the company will end up under the govt's hands anyway then why dont the govt let Assan continue functioning under Gurcan's guidance and let it grow as a govt-controlled company which will also help in keeping MKE stimulated so that they dont become lazy again

They don't think like that. It can happen if another group of people inside AKP become more influential.

it's about chip design, not production. here you can listen to it where he directly answers that question.

He did give example like Apple or nvidia buying from TMSC, we will never able to produce chips nor now. Untill somebody comes with billions off dollar we could guide them and help them was his answer. Little foundery to help Turkiye needs how much will it cost 5 to 10 billions? Umtill somebody comes and invest we will never able to have a little chip industry.

Look to little Netherlands, they have ther small semiconductor companies, thanks to Phillips they are now big. Beko can do the same, only thibg remains investment. We got the customer only thing remains supplier.

can you watch this video and appreciate how stupidly difficult advanced chip manufacturing actually is? landing a man on the moon is childsplay compared to this. it's essentially black magic. and the video is only about the lithography machine, not about the fab.

Making chips in millions is a challenge but making them in thousands should be easier. There is talk about a 3nm chip factory to be setup in Türkiye by 2027 in cooperation with a Taiwanese company by the drone company Fly BVLOS Technology to make drone autopilot computers. They plan to make 60.000 chips per year.

I believe dUV machines can be made in Türkiye but eUV machines add another layer of complexity as the light will fade if there is gas or lenses in the path of the light. I expect local production with local sources to come online down to 22nm node in the next 7 years.

“Rising field of engineering: TAMS-AERO Original CFD [*Computational Fluid Dynamics] Software

Developed by TUSAŞ engineers, TAMS-AERO is an original computational fluid dynamics software that enables the numerical analyses required for our domestic and national aircraft:

✅ It contributes to design processes by quickly and reliably analyzing the aerodynamic performance of our platforms.

✅ With its open-source components, flexible architecture, and user-friendly interface, it offers tailored solutions to meet the needs of our engineers.

This enables the precise analysis of large and complex aerospace problems on high-performance parallel computing systems without the need for a commercial license.”

Countdown for the piko satellite team emerging from Türkiye:
• A new chapter is being added to Türkiye's journey in small satellite technologies with the TAURUS satellite team set to launch tomorrow
• The first 4 satellites, produced by GUMUSH AeroSpace and set to contribute to many areas such as agriculture, energy, logistics, aviation, disaster-emergency response, will form the beginning of the global team satellite system
• The satellites, designed to weigh 452 grams, will be launched as a quartet group and will settle into a 510-kilometer altitude and 45-degree inclined orbit
• Preparations are underway for a more comprehensive team satellite deployment plan

This ican be the most important scientific breakthrough of the century regarding jet engine technologies.
NASA has managed to produce nickel süper alloys that not only manage to stay in shape and unaffected at well above 1093 degrees Celcius, but give 1000 times better creep performance under these temperatures and heavy stresses.

NASA and The Ohio State University have created a brand-new metal called GRX-810, a printable superalloy engineered to withstand extreme heat inside jet and rocket engines. It is being called one of the most significant breakthroughs in high-temperature materials in recent years. NASA saysGRX-810 is twice as strong as the best 3D printed superalloys available today, more than a thousand times more durable at high temperatures, and twice as resistant to oxidation.

GRX-810 is what materials scientists refer to as an oxide dispersion strengthened alloy. In essence, it is a nickel, cobalt, and chromium-based metal reinforced with tiny ceramic particles. These nano-oxides, specifically yttrium oxide (Y₂O₃), make up about one percent of the alloy by weight. NASA coats the metal powder with these nanoscale oxides before printing, and then fuses the powder together layer by layer using laser powder bed fusion.

Oxide dispersion strengthened alloys have existed in concept for decades, but their production was limited because they were nearly impossible to form into complex shapes using traditional casting or forging. NASA’s approach solves that by mixing the oxide particles into metal powder in a controlled way, printing the part for precision, and then hot isostatic pressing it to remove residual stresses without disrupting the oxide structure. In simple terms, NASA has figured out how to 3D print something that was previously considered unprintable.

In performance terms, GRX-810 represents a leap forward. Typical high-end 3D printed superalloys can survive up to around 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, or 1,093 degrees Celsius. GRX-810 not only survives but operates at those temperatures while retaining strength and ductility. In creep rupture tests, it lasted more than a thousand times longer than common alloys like Inconel 625 or 718. It also showed roughly twice the oxidation resistance and twice the tensile strength compared to current printable alloys. In NASA’s test rigs, printed combustor domes and injector parts made from GRX-810 remained crack-free, while conventional cobalt chrome and Inconel parts developed visible cracks under the same conditions.
