There is a reason why basically only 3 makers of ejection seats exists which are M-B, Russia and China. Needs hundreds of tests to ensure secure ejection every single time.
I know, that is why I think it is critical that we look it into because they could cripple our serial production in the future with 1 sanction if they ever feel like.

Both have their advantages/disadvantages.



Generally fractured canopy advantages prevail in the argument when the aircraft has V/STOL capability given the higher chance of zero-zero type ejections happening (the Harrier is most notable study of it during its development and early deployment phase) than with conventional take-off + land aircraft.

This is why the F-35 essentially followed on from the Harrier canopy approach (time is of the full essence when zero-zero or close).....but we don't really see it in non VSTOL aircraft where conventional jettison is often favourable again.

  • MMU LSS – Life Support System Project; It is a system that provides the oxygen, which it separates from the engine discharge air, to the pilot as breathing air instantly and at the right rate according to the physical conditions, and protects the pilot from the Anti-G load on the pilot depending on the maneuvers.


  • MMU ExPS – Explosion Prevention System Project; It is the system that pressurizes the Nitrogen, which it separates from the engine discharge air, to the fuel tanks depending on the altitude, and ensures that the fuel tanks become inert. It reduces the risk of explosion caused by fuel vapor in the aircraft and prevents fuel boiling in the fuel tank.

  • MMU HAVSET – Low Visibility Set Development Project for Air Duct; The electromagnetic design, optimization and model measurements of the Set, which provides low visibility on radar by placing it in the Air Channel, are carried out for the National Combat Aircraft to "Gave Invisibility to Radar".

  • MMU FRESEÇ – Electromagnetic Modeling and Application of Frequency Selective Surfaces Providing Low Visibility; In order to provide frequency selective RF permeability in radome structures, frequency selective surfaces that are being modeled electromagnetically for "Achieving Radar Invisible Feature" to National Combat Aircraft; electromagnetic modeling, design, analysis and optimization software is being developed.

Prototype products within the scope of "Development of Long Wavelength Infrared Trace Reduction Paint" and "Development of Radar Absorbing Paste (Sealant)" carried out with TAI, which will contribute to the projects we will develop regarding invisibility (trace reduction) technology, which is very critical for the 5th generation aircraft. We completed the production and passed the performance tests.

We have successfully completed the development, verification and acceptance activities of the RASEM software, which will be used in the electromagnetic design processes to give the National Combat Aircraft (MMU) invisibility under radar, and delivered the software to TAI. At the same time, we completed the set designs within the scope of the HAVSET-Phase 1 project to ensure the low visibility of the air duct of the MMU on radar and delivered to TAI; Thus, we have moved on to Phase 2 of the HAVSET project.

-Potentially the largest piece ever produced using this specific technology. This is a thermoplastic polymer that is resistant to high temperatures and high loads. This mold was used in order to produce a composite component of the Gökbey's fuselage. Using orthodox methods, a mold such as this might take 3-4 months to produce. TAI produced it in 3 weeks.

I am slightly disappointed from these pics, I was hoping they would be showing 3d printing PEEK by Now. A couple years ago, Company started in MIT (iirc), showed working with thermoplastics specifically PEEK in FDM 3D printing was commercially viable. They were selling their 3d printed parts to NASA and This material is already used in aviation. For Turkey's case, 3D printing made it perfect match for our low rate productions in military/aerospace industry. Our companies needs to use this material, It would improve trust to weight ratio in our aviation industry in meaningful way.

It looks like Europeans are also working on PEEK 3d printing as well, And They are using it on their moon mission this month.

There was work going on with PEEK composites and the officials should know the value of it. I believe there is work on 3D printing of PEEK too. They should bring it to light when it is ripe.
