I agree. Foreign policy is about state gains and interests, but this government takes everything personal.
We should make a very big U-turn in foreign policy except some red lines:
- Dont give up Blue Homeland doctrine
- Don't give up North Cyprus
- Dont't give up North Syria
- Don't give up West Libya
- Don't give up Nagorno Karabach
- Don't give up Qatari militairy base
Hell, we got to much red lines.
Sure and the West will certainly give you the thumbs up, right?
You literally summed up why Erdogan is in problems with literally all the West
He doesnt wanna give Karabagh
He doesnt wanna give Western libya
He doesnt wanna give Syria
He doesnt wanna give Qatari bases
He doesnt wanna give up blue homeland doctrine
If you truly wanna rewind your relationship with the West, you need to expect from the new aeministration to give back most of these red lines; otherwise, expect that the turkish foreign policy under the new management wont change and they will continue what Erdo started, period! (Though I doubt that tbh as we are already seeing some signs of them giving up some of these red lines)
