Hürjet specs were changed much more improved than before,especially rate of climb,sustained turn rate,and carry load

In Malaysia's trainer and LCA tender, it was claimed that had Hürjet won it some of the program costs would be paid by barter through giving palm oil to Turkey worth few hundred millions. Unsure if Koreans that won it were given the same deal. Main issue here is our inability of offering financing deals we can offer for our exports actually, not Malaysians exploring the option to pay with bartering other commodities which in itself is fine.
We have been doing the same thing giving palm oil and hard cash for big ticket items.
So whats the problem...Still many countries offer it to sell to Malaysia.
You can just sell it to your country.
We sell a lot of palm oil to Turkey.
If you don't then sell to international market.
So whats the problem...
You are talking about selling a jet which is still on drawing board to our country.
Do you think the Malaysian people will accept it...
There will be a lot of noice if we buy it while The Korean jets have been flying for years and sell to many countries already.
Furthermore,Seems so far we got no problems buying arms with our palm oil from many european,american,russia and others.
Even the FA 50 deal is bought with half paid by palm oil.
Maybe next time when Turkey decided to sell their products to Malaysia they should ask the smart guy in this forun to specified it all in hard cash.
Fortunately the Ada class bought for lms batch 2 are not bought with palm oil..paid all by hard cash

IMO it's only natural to conduct trades with hard currency especially because you don't have to go out and try to sell bartered product to get your money.

And for us it is natural for to go for WIN-WIN agreement.
You are willing to sell your product to us then you are willing to buy product from us.
If you disagree then it will not be any problem.
Actually its not hard to sell palm oil.
Just ask any big traders who is most likely in his apartment who open a laptop and sell it on commodity market....done..the money in the account while palm oil is shipping from port klang to any of the buyers in this world.
You don't even need to sweat at all.

It says 35m² wing area but it's obviously wrong, it is 25m² accroding to TRT in 2023

It seems like TAI focused on fighter-like performance and compromised on range trough years. Performance values are much closer to JF-17 now.

It has the same engine with FA-50 and the same thrust but it has less range, less payload capacity and less speed. Why?

hürjet range 61nmil more than FA-50,max speed is 0.1 mach less,but rate of climb difference is more important than this,very near to F 16,overall hürjet has more wing area,more agile,better suited for red aircraft role than the FA-50.

yes but the Korean one can carry 2 tons more payload for the same thrust. that is not a mere detail.

We have to wait for clearing of emty weight and Maximum take offf weight of hürjet

The future variant of Hurjet, referred to as the light combat aircraft, will be subject to significant improvements in this sense, the most important of which, in my opinion, will be the payload capacity. The aircraft will continue to develop both structurally and on the avionics side for a long time. In the long marathon, I can say that the Hürjet will have at least two engine options for potential markets and will become a solution that can meet both light attack and supersonic capable advanced training needs as a common system.

As a LIFT aircraft, the Hürjet will have to enable training with real ammunition and in conditions that simulate a real combat environment. In fact, the Hürjet is a natural end-stage tactical trainer for many NATO main combat fighter jets; only with minor variant changes according to the main combat fleet structures of the user countries. For a generation, two-seat F-5s were the perfect jets for this role. The Hürjet has the potential to take over next decades.

Aren't those conjunctures. Are you saying that with EU countries as potential buyers Hürjet will have an EJ200 variant ?

What if Hürjet is developed further to be able to manage 2-6 UCAV in formation and steer them in to targets ? Would that be a realistic view. Like a megamind close by to ensure strong signal/control over the UAV.

But like it was pointed out, I think succeeding in making a trainer and LCA is/ would be solid proof of what we can do.

The Background of HÜRJET's Journey to Spain and Misconceptions

1- The Embassy in Madrid has forwarded the memorandum of understanding signed by Haluk Görgün, President of Defense Industries, to the Spanish authorities.

2- There is no reciprocal aircraft give/receive or exchange! The A400M will not be received in exchange for the HÜRJET, this is a direct sale of aircraft.

3- This will be the first sale of jet-powered aircraft by the Republic of Turkiye to a NATO member country. It is a major milestone in the history of our defense industry.

Are most of them buying the F-35s? Everyone wants stealth nowadays which is why its safe to assume the sales for hurjet would be geared more towards south america, asia, middleeast and africa.

Hürjet is a trainer/light fighter jet. Admittedly it's one of the most suitable ones in its class for many european nations. Only real competitor is South Korean AFAIK. Others are either from rival blocs, only 3D renders or dreadful EU projects (bloated, over expensive, not roduce in numbers etc.).

I might be wrong on the competitors though that's what I just remember off the top of my head.

Hurjet will participate in the US Navy's training aircraft tender in 2028. Recently, we know that Turkish companies are building an ammunition factory in the United States and that they are going to produce a lot of ammunition. I wonder if they will give this tender to Hurjet?
